After trying countless inexpensive can openers (and ultimately discarding them when they wear out), I decided to do some internet research and settled on this KitchenAid can opener. It's a dream. Solid. Opens cans. Doesn't NOT open cans... which wasn't the case for the cheap openers I've had in the past.Everything feels solid. I've been using it a few weeks. Will it remain effective years down the road? That remains to be seen. But for now, I'm very satisfied with my purchase. Recommend.

Manual can openers are so much better than the electric ones! And this one is sturdy, but not too heavy. It replaced a cheaper, lighter weight one that we had used for over 20 years and finally needed a new one. I expect this one to last equally well.

It's a little bit big, and the weight is just right. It's not too light or too heavy. I recently bought an automated opener that uses batteries and I regret it very much. It's my first time using it and it's broken. It's a little annoying, but I think analogue is better. But I'm really curious why American canned goods don't use a one-touch open lid. If you use a one-touch open lid, you don't need any tools to open the lid at all. I'm not the only one who worries about iron foreign substances coming out when you open the lid with these tools going into the food, right? I hope the can grocery lids improve.

After going through several can openers that have failed this one by far exceeds my expectations. Immediately after using this one, by far effortless to get a can open. The opener is very sturdy, feels good holding it, and no struggle at all.

They say the third time is the charm and that is true for this can opener. I had purchased two other different can openers that did not work at all. The tolerances were too loose and the opener would climb off the rim. But this can opener has very tight tolerances and works like a dream. It's a couple of bucks more than the other openers but worth every penny. It also has longer handles for more leverage and a large cranking handle. The bottle opener feature provides an additional benefit.

This can opener is a life saver for me. I had trouble with the older type crank and this product is wonderful. Very easy to use. The first time I used it I didn't think it was opening the can because it was turning very easy - looked and I was halfway around the can. Would highly recommend this can opener!!
