I have used it a few times since I got it and while it feels and looks great I wish it was a tad thicker. I usually keep it rolled up and hang in my den. It’s a great conversation piece and attracts a lot of attention. The memory of sitting at my camp site within the protected warmth of this blanket in the morning surrounded by majestic peaks will often hasten my next wilderness retreat. So grab your gear and don’t forget to bring this wonderful blanket for all outdoor occasions. Oh and it’s really made in the USA, so better get them before they ever decide to move to China just like every other brand.

BACKGROUNDThis is the first "upscale" blanket we purchased to use as a throw for the couch or for outdoors. I bought this as a Christmas present last year, deciding it was about time to invest in a good blanket to use in cold Michigan winters.PROS- Made in the United States- INCREDIBLY warm- VERY LIGHT- Nice/Cozy color combinationsCONS- None (although, I get it, lots of people would be skeptical about paying $80-$100 for "just a blanket")FEEDBACKThis is, hands down, the best blanket I have ever used. It is extremely light yet VERY warm. You will never want to leave it if it is cold outside. It is a bit more money than the average blanket and understandably so, because it is not your average blanket. Also, it can help save money by turning the heat down during cold weather, since you will definitely enjoy using this blanket. We will be purchasing our second one soon and I do recommend it to anybody, it also makes a perfect present to give in a special occasion (wedding, Christmas, etc.)

This throw is exactly as described -- red Stuart plaid over grey background. It's a throw, so it's not something you'd probably sleep with. But it's perfect for an extra bit of warmth lounging around the house. (I typically use it in my lap or over my shoulders when I'm working in my home office.) It's wool, so it's not baby llama soft. But it's also not scratchy or in any way uncomfortable, at least to me. I love the carry straps -- it's nice to see genuine leather still used in a product, there's something very old-school about it.. Overall, the workmanship and craft are top-notch -- just what you'd expect from Pendleton! This is a wonderful product!

Best blanket I’ve ever owned. Purchased the Metolius color, it was a bit darker than expected, the photos look a bit boosted in contrast forsure. But the blanket itself is very high quality, super comfortable, and just the right size able to cover the feet up to my chin. I ended up buying a yakima as well thinking it would be the same as this just without the tassles, that too was not as colorful as expected but mainly the Yakima was much thicker than this blanket and felt way more scratchy on the skin. This blanket is 100% wool so sure you can find a softer blanket but it’s not obtrusive at all unlike the Yakima. For the price I think this is the best option to get and even comes with a very nice leather carrier. The blanket should work well in the winter as well in the summer without making you sweat or getting too warm, it’s just right. I have seen some sellers adding on 50$+ just for the leather carrier alone. One of the Best Buys ive made and if they ever come out with a merino version of this I will definitely snap on that. I generally hate blankets with tassels but these I have no problem with. Thank you Pendleton

I have been eying this blanket for a while, and with the summer picnic season here again, I finally decided to make the splurge. The size is perfect for a four person picnic, or for taking a little nap on a chilly day. It is medium weight, thinner than fleece and not as large or thick as the wool blankets you would use on a bed, but a little nicer/softer than a wool throw I bought in Scotland at a comparable price. The real selling point on this one was the leather strap to make it easy to carry. It would certainly be possible to get a cheaper polyester fleece blanket, and some I saw even have similar carrying straps made of nylon, but the appeal of the Pendleton version is its timelessness. I'm tired of picnics with Styrofoam coolers and ugly plastic utensils. This blanket is going to be used with a classic picnic basket, real porcelain plates, and an old fashioned metal thermos for those times when I want a picnic as visually appealing as the nature that surrounds me.

I've been looking for a high quality, warm blanket to lay over our adirondack chairs for when guests comes over on chilly evenings. These hit the mark. They are gorgeous and durable. I'm a big fan on wool that shakes off debris, repels water and insulates against the wind and cold.

I have "waited so long for a genuine Pendleton!!" It is perfect!! What a presentation opening the box...tied together with genuine leather straps! I could not be happier!!

This throw is gorgeous. The colors are stunning and I like that it comes with it's own leather carrier for travel. It's far too pretty to throw in my car, so it's been draped on my bed during these cooler Texas fall mornings. Its decently thick and warm for a throw, a little scratchy, but that's to be expected with wool. Of course it isn't as thick as my queen sized blanket, but it's thick enough for a throw. Definitely recommend this quality product from Pendleton.

I grew up with wool blankets being on each of our beds for warmth and comfort. After loosing everything due to WWII, my parents rebuilt their lives including the family home. Wool blankets became like gold for the family. My Mum would say that quality wool is healing. As an adult I can't imagine not having wool blankets, or having wool throws. There are some manufactures of wool products that are less quality than others. Pendleton Motor Robe is one of the best quality of wool throws/blankets in North America. I ordered their motor robe as a throw for our evening chair. It is made from the highest quality wool, with amazing durability which is also washable. This blanket is soft, not rough on the skin causing itch or a rash.It arrived quickly, with no offensive odours, or stiffness in the throw. I wrap this throw around my shoulders on those chilly winter nights while I'm reading in my chair for added comfort, coziness and warmth. Wool is healthy adding only positive benefits to your health. There is no chemicals or toxins in this wool motor robe which is essential.The colours are vibrant. The feeling is soft and densely woven wool. Nothing artificial. I never sweat while this throw is around me, because wool wicks away moisture keeping you warm and dry under it. I also take this throw on camping trips for that extra warmth around the fire and in my sleeping bag.I love, love, love this throw! I am ordering four more for family birthday gifts. The price is reasonable. Wool can cost a bundle of dollars, yet Pendleton has kept their price affordable. The sizing is generous, as I can also use it as a blanket for a twin or double bed.
