Punch Down
I've used this now for a few weeks and installed about 500' total of drip line with emitters. It's a very sturdy tool that fits perfectly on my 1/2" .007 lines. a quick pop and you have a clean hole where you want, on the side of the feeder tube. The handle is on the smallish size, but it's not uncomfortable in your hand. I still give it 5 stars.Others have suggested it's not sturdy. I don't know what they ordered, but this one is pretty nice. The holes are clean and take almost no effort. After all the holes I've popped into my tubing, it still works like it's brand new.

A must have for easy insertion of drip emmiters
I use the Rain Bird drip irrigation system. The video shows that the emitters can be pushed into the 1/2 inch tubing with firm pressure. However, the barbed plastic tip is not that sharp and there is going to be tube deflection and compression prior to puncturing the hose. Also, the tube will crush and collapse under the pressure and there is a risk of pushing through to the other side. So, get this device. It makes a neat small puncture and then the emitter goes in without a hitch. No leaking and a secure seal.It is worth the added cost.

It works... Just be prepared to pick up little circle cutouts
The tool works well for it's intended use. A small 'bin' of some form to keep the material that has been punched out would be nice, however. Given that the waste material could easily clog a drip line, it is a bit of an issue. The tool is a heck of a lot easier than the tools that require you pushing them into the line.
