Fits great
This is for a 4th gen 4Runner. The kit comes with everything you need. Couple of tips for installing on this vehicle due to the limited access of the screws:1) Remove license plate and bracket2) Masking tape on the pain in the area you will be working to prevent scratches3) Use the screwdriver that came with the kit. I tried various ratchets, flexible adaptors and philips head bits but ultimately, the 90 degree bend screwdriver worked best but you definitely want that tape on the paint4) Take your time, the screw will come out but can be hard to get started with the limited leverage. Careful not to strip the head.5) Use the screws supplied to reinstall the switch with the new rubber cover. You don't need to pull these crazy tight, just enough so the rubber is pressed against the hole in the hatch to seal out water.

2008 toyota sienna - fits just OK
The replacement switch cover fits OK. There isnt enough material underneath to secure around the switch amd you have to be careful to stretch the cover just enough without knocking it off.The added screw driver was useful as the screws holding the cover are in an inwards angle and cant fit a regular screwdriver under there. Just wish the driver was a bit shorter. The Scrape tool was very useful to clean up the old gummed up switch cover. Most of the time you'll spend cleaning up the old cover Make sure you check in between the latch switch button, as I had to clean up in between the button. If I had to but it over I would buy the other set on amazon, the one from IE Works. It also comes with a scraping tool and a screwdriver, but their screwdriver appears to be shorter. The button cover also appears to be better. * I did not compare the the two, the material on the cover I purchased feels thin.Pros- Better than the gummed up cover- The scrape tool and included screwdriver are useful- the cover is soft, after its installed the latch opens effortlesslyCons:- The new cover could be thicker- The new cover could be a better fit- The enclosed screw driver could be shorter

Easy fix for gummy rear latch cover on 2014 Toyota 4Runner
In the package are a flexible rubber/silicone cover, 2 screws, a little angled screwdriver and a scraper. If your situation is like mine was, you will need these plus some GooGone or similar product (it will dissolve the goo so you can wipe it off) and some all purpose cleaner (to clean the oil that the GooGone leaves on things - especially your hands!) and paper towels. I removed the screws from my original cover with the little angle screwdriver. This was a bit tricky and tedious, but it clearly can be done. I did NOT pull off anything else. My factory installed cover had become such a gooey mess that I scraped and wiped it off after wiping the GooGone on it. And wiped it some more.. And some more... This was no quick thing, but the goal was to just keep wiping it off with the GooGone (which further dissolved the old cover) until it was sufficiently gone so the new cover could just be screwed on where the first one had been. Kind of like capping a hazardous waste site... A lot of paper towels were used... The screws that come with the cover are both slightly longer and slightly thinner than the original screws. I think I came close to stripping the original scews when removing them so I decided to put in the ones that came with the cover - they seem to be fine. I may go get new screws that are the same size as the original ones and swap them out.

Fits ENOUGH just NOT FULLY covered underneath & around the button of the trunk
Button was easy to install, just dislike as for the reason of 4 stars out of 5 was because the trunk hatch lift gate switch cover doesn’t fully cover the bottom in the over and underside coverage completely to be secure. The screws are was hold it in place. The feel is easier to push in the trunk compared to the melted rubber in the original cover. The bottom unlatches easier to push again faster than before. The rubber/plastic whatever the material it is does feel stronger and as if it will not melt. Now to more easily scrape off the old material that had melted from the sun’s heat is to undetach it from the bottom plastic that is in the two sides but slowly and steadily so as to not break it and need a full button placement again or winging it to reattach some way. The way is to stick the scraper in between the either side between the button and the outer side hope it helps in what I said. Also keep tip after fully scraping most of it off is to get alcohol and just trying to clean the melted material off more easier and faster. Overall tho will take some time putting it on, it’s easy but the process is long took me about two hours and got a little dirty in the hands from the funk material. 😣😒FYI: Scion tC 2007 was used in the process.

Hard to do without the proper 10mm socket
When I got the plastic cover off inside the hatch, I saw that the 10mm nuts were on bolts that projected about an inch and a half, and thus requiring a special DEEP 10mm socket, which I didn't have. So I just took the switch screws out (using my right-angle tool as well as the one supplied) and pried the switch out. Because I didn't take off the whole assembly, the switch wires were captive on the inside, so I could only remove the switch about 1 inch on the right and 1/2 inch on the left (where the wires were). This made it much more difficult to clean the gunk off, but not impossible (took the license plate off to give myself a little more working room). The included scraper did a nice job, as well as finishing up with some naptha. Because I couldn't get the switch very far out, it was difficult to tuck the new rubber cover around the back of the switch; the front I could tuck around a bit easier. It wasn't perfect, but serviceable when I popped the switch back in and re-installed the original screws with a washer under each one to prevent it from distorting the rubber when I snugged it up. If you have a special deep 10mm socket, you can liberate the switch completely and work on the cleaning and installing the new rubber cover while on the bench, making the whole ordeal a lot easier. Either way, your hands will be totally black when you're done, but a little solvent followed by lots of soap and water will take care of it.
