These Dr Vegan eye capsules are an easy to swallow size that leave no aftertaste. I have been taking 2 per day due to sore, dry tired eyes which has been made worse by an auto immune issue and allergies. These have helped with the fatigue aspect for sure.You will receive 60 vegan capsules so no hidden nasties, this will give you a months supply as 2 per day is recommended, they come packed flat for easy storage. The capsules include a good amount of vitamins including A, B2, C, E and Bilberry which helps maintain your overall eye health.I will continue to use these as they are gentle on the stomach and have given me no negative side effects.

The obvious competition is MacuShield Original Formula 90 day pack. They differ that Screen Eyes includes vitamins and other ingredients and, it has 15mg of Lutein. However, Screen Eyes daily dose is two capsules whereas the daily dose for MacuShield is one small capsule. That makes Screen Eyes expensive.

There are two clear market leaders in this field and you can get 90 days supply for a little more than one month's worth of these. They do have 2 extra ingredients, astaxanthin and bilberry. But there is clear evidence for the efficacy of the other 3 macula carotenoids and I've seen or heard nothing about astaxanthin. So I feel a bit sceptical in terms of their value. I'll stick with my optician's advice - and save some money.

Getting older and having to wear reading glasses more and more often on top of spending far too much time working in front of a computer make these a great choice for me to add to my supplements, especially as most of the active compounds in here don't feature in my other supplements. Both lutein and zeaxanthin especially have been shown to be great for eye health but lutein is also a great natural carotenoid very effective and as a powerful antioxidant is very effective at defending your body against free radicals/unstable molecules which in turn helps prevent conditions that contribute to aging processes which lead to the progression of diseases like heart disease and Alzheimer's, as well as type 2 diabetes . If you're not sure if this is right for you to supplement with or not then do your research properly first or consult a professional/nutritionist if unsure.If you're already confident about the benefits and know it's the right supplement for you then the 60 capsules if taken at the recommended two a day these will last around a month, so not the cheapest of supplements but worth it if they have a significant impact on your eye health.

As a vegan I am really happy with this particular brand because from the names it is obvious that is a vegan brand and product. You get 60 capsules here and if you stick to the dosage of two daily they will last a month. The capsules are of typical size and I find them easy enough to swallow. The capsules are made out of vegetarian shells so no worrying about whether they have used cheap nasty unfriendly gelatine. At just under £20 then maybe not the cheapest considering you only get 30 days supply but I am happy to support a vegan company because I don’t have to worry about looking at the fine print to figure out whether this is a vegan product. Plus the quality of the ingredients seems high. You also get a very long expiry date and they are almost 3 years from the date of ordering. Overall very happy.
