Best brush ever, awesome price
This brush is awesome. The first brush I bought for my rescue kitty was a crappy store brand brush from Petco that broke within a few weeks of using it. This time I decided to go with a deshedding one instead since no matter how often I brushed my cat there was still cat hair all over my apartment. Ew. I just tried out the Koodella brush and I was amazed at all of the hair that came out. There was enough hair to fill one of those plastic shopping bags. Tigre (my cat) was purring the whole time and was loving the experience so I know that this brush wasn't causing him any pain either. Now, even after petting him and scratching all of his favorite spots there is absolutely no shedding. I also really like that this is a family owned business, and I received an email from the company saying that they hoped I would enjoy the product. Would definitely buy again!

The other great part is how much ALL three of my cats ...
Ok - First of all, let me say that I have three cats - one long hair and two short hair. I had other brushes and I thought they were doing an all-right job of reducing the hair. However, when I started using this brush, I was so surprised at how much hair came out! The other great part is how much ALL three of my cats actually LIKE being brushed by this product! Now the bad. PLEASE be careful and DO NOT OVERBRUSH your animal with this product. I wasn't paying attention and brushed a bald spot into one of my cats! I feel so bad about it. So just be aware of what you're doing - and I was brushing him for no longer than 5 minutes.Great product overall!

I had been using what I thought was a good metal deshedding tool from Walmart and was amazed at ...
I was so impressed with the first one I bought that I ordered another as a spare (I have several acres and I'll keep it in my shed when I'm out there) and one for my daughter's small dog.I agree with another user in that the first time I used it I was taking off so much hair that I was wondering if I was doing something wrong and was going to totally de-hair my cat!I had been using what I thought was a good metal deshedding tool from Walmart and was amazed at the Koobella that was taken off.I have a Manz indoor/outdoor cat that definitely benefits from daily use of the Koobella.I gave it 5 stars and am wondering why people gave it 4. It is inexpensive, built well and sturdy, does an excellent job, yet some people give it a four. Hmmm.

Really gets out the loose fur.
Got it for a cat that doesn't like to be touched. Once I start dragging this along his back, he hunkers-down and starts purring. It has just the right amount of tension to pull out loose fur. Just go gently, as its hard metal.

My cat couldn't be happier, and she runs the house, so...
I had a Furminator. Moved. Couldn’t find it. Went to Amazon to get a replacement, and since the Koodella was less expensive and had great reviews, I bought one. Wow, so happy I did. My Jack Russell mix refused to let the Furminator near her. Dare I say, she actually seems to enjoy the Koodella. My cat tolerated the Furminator. She purrs and rubs up against the Koodella. No kidding. She seems to be upset when I stop. I don’t know what the difference is. They look so similar. But clearly something is different about the blades, how they feel on the skin….and it extracts mad amounts of hair. Very happy with the product.

It works fine, but not THAT great.
Overall, this brush does the job. However, I previously had a "furminator" brush, and it did the job MUCH better. However, now I can't find that one, prompting me to try this one out. For $7.99, I guess it's worth the money, but after using a superior product, I wasn't to happy with this one.It could be that the other brush I bought was for long hair cats, and pulled more out? My cat doesn't look like he's a long hair though. Additionally, I liked that the other brush (not this one) had a button to push off the hair after brushing. I felt like it also got more hair on each brush.

Koodella brush
I bought this brush to use on our pet cats, they started shedding and puking up hair balls, I was looking for something not expensive that didn't hurt the cats but still got all the loose hair off of them and that's exactly what this brush did. It has a nice weight to it and the grip is nice. My cats LOVED being combed with this, and it got a TON of hair off them! I think I'm going to comb them regularly with it to help maintain the healthy coat. The actual comb piece also comes off for cleaning which is nice because I can just soak it in cleaner without having to put the whole thing in. Overall I would recommend this brush.

Works better on certain types of animal coats
Work great on the cats finer, longer fur. My long haired cat seemed to really enjoy being brushed with this brush and it removed a large amount of excess hair. My dog seemed fine with how it felt, but she is a bluetick with a shorter more compact coat than the cats. It did not remove as much hair on her, and she is a heavy shedder so I know its there! Overall I like the brush and will continue to use it.
