Stamper not working well

I was super excited to find something to do french manicure. I had an issue at the beginning because the polish wouldn't stick. I tried to do some research to figure out why, turns out that you have to prepare the stamper. I had to use a nail file to ruff up the jelly and then the polish sticker. There should be some direction about how to prepare the jelly to make it work. After I figured that out I was on my way. Super happy with the results

I am not impressed with these stampers, they are not picking up the nail polish at all. I have tried 4 different plates and 3 different nail polishes trying to get these to work but I can't seem to get them to pick up the nail polish, I even tried cleaning it with plain water like the listing said to do if it isn't picking up the design and I didn't use nail polish remover or anything else on them, just the water. I even have a really cheap stamper that doesn't work well at all(which is why I bought this one with such great reviews) and that one even picks designs up a lot better than these ones do.After my review the company contacted me and helped to fix the issue, which I greatly appreciated. They sent me new ones, which did work perfectly right out of the package so I may have gotten defective ones in the first place but now I got good ones that I am able to use.

For me there was a learning curve with these stampers. I was rolling them just like some reviewers suggested, but my luck was hit and miss. There's a trick to everything! I discovered that when I roll the stamp with a very light hand, not squishing the stamp at all, I get a perfect stamp which is then easy to transfer onto my nails in the right spot. Once I learned this, 90% of my stamps turn out the first time and the other 10% is all user error. I washed the stampers a lot when I first got them (thinking that keeping them sticky would help with the stamping), and one of them has got some small tears. Now I just use packing tape or a lint roller sheet to clean the stamp, and I haven't had any further damage. But at this price point for three of them, I wouldn't mind having to replace them every few months. I never primed them as the manufacturer does not recommend it. I also love the scrapers that come with these, they work much better than the metal blade scrapers and don't leave scratches on my plates.
