Barely there washers
The washers that arrived are quite thin, covered in rough edges, and more than a few had chunks missing from them where they were double struck by the punch machine. If I can't return them, I'll have to find something else to do with them. Maybe.

Poor quality control on ID - May or may not fit over 1/4" hardware.
The ¼" ID x ½" OD Stainless Steel Flat Washers ordered through Amazon were poorly manufactured. To be sure, they do NOT have the SAE standard dimensions for ¼" flat washers which would be 9/32" ID and 5/8" OD. So to describe these as ¼" washers is misleading. But if you continue to read on the web page, there is a notation under "About this item" clarifying that the ID is "exactly" 6 mm. Confusing since ¼" is 6.35 mm, which is not hardly "exactly" 6 mm. So what is the ID of these washers? Is it ¼" or 6 mm? Well, because they are so poorly manufactured, the answer is both - the ID varies significantly.Depending on your application, these still may be just what you need. In my case I was looking for 6 mm stainless flat washers to use as 1/16" spacers to slide snuggly over a ¼" rod. The space around the rod is limited so the small ½" OD (15/32") and 3/64" thickness of a standard 6 mm washer was what I wanted. This Amazon offering of 110 pieces of what appeared to be 6 mm stainless washers for a very good price seemed like a bargain. Although not stated, these washers are nominally 1/32" thick. That is, it is thinner than a standard 6 mm washer and half the 1/16" thickness of a standard SAE ¼" washer.I was disappointed to discover that of the 110 washers in the plastic box, only 25 of them fit snuggly onto a ¼" rod while all the rest had an inside diameter that was just a touch too small and would not fit. That is, the ID of the lot varied between about 6.24 mm to 6.31 mm. As it happened, the ¼" zinc plated rod I got from Home Depot had a measured diameter of 6.25 mm, just a gnat's hair less than exactly ¼". It seems that just by chance, 25 of the 110 washers were able to fit over the rod I was using. So if you intend to use these to fit over ¼" stock, it's a bit of a gamble. For example, I found that of those washers that would NOT slide onto the ¼" bar I was using, almost all could be coaxed over the threads of standard ¼" SAE zinc plated bolts and screws and would also fit over the unthreaded portion of those that were not fully threaded.Other things to note: Some of the washers had burs / raised edges around the inside and outside edges on the backside of the washer from the stamping process. This would prevent the washer from laying completely flush on a surface. This may or may not matter to you depending on your application. Also, the outside diameter of the washer is 15/32", a bit less than ½". The first image shown on the web site when you select the 1/4" offering is misleading. It show the material on either side of the hole to be wider than the diameter of the hole. It is not. Rather the width of that "doughnut" material around the hole is only about ½ the diameter of the hole. However, if you click for additional images you find that they show all four size offerings in each picture, and yes one of those does accurately represent the 1/4" washer. Another thing to note is that a standard 6 mm washer has a thickness of 1.37 mm. These bargain washers are only 0.97 mm thick (+/- 0.1 mm). That is, they run thin. So, if you want standard SAE ¼" washers, these are not them. If you want standard metric 6 mm washers, these are not them either because the actual ID varies too much to be dependable. On the other hand, if you are a Do-It-Yourself person with a non-standard project, you just might find some washers in this box that will work for you.

Metal Washers, they get the job done
I bought these for numerous uses around my home, one being to use them to shorten the screws used for cabinet door and drawer pulls. Unfortunately for me, the hole the screw passes through was a bit larger than what I needed, fortunately the screws that came with the replacement cabinet door and drawer pulls were forged with a larger head, that is they were forged with a ring, like a washer under the head of the screw, but were a solid part of the screw head, so even though I purchased the wrong size inner diameter hole, these washers still worked for the cabinet door and drawer pulls. But for other screws I use, they were a perfect match for them, so they were still a good purchase for my use. A carpenter, I am not, and my measuring skills are on par with giving my cat a ruler and them telling me what size to buy for what I need. LOLBut being I can't measure small increments, even numbers or even 1/2 foot measurements, no problem for me, but when it comes to fractions or smaller measurements, forget it, I have an awful time with them. Now that's not the manufacturer's fault, that's mine. These washers are very good, sturdy and will get the job done. They also come in a very nice plastic case, so it makes them easier to store in a drawer or toolbox. My only dislike was getting them open, they are taped closed all the way around the box, except for the small lip where you open the box to access the washers inside. Being able to open this area slightly, gave me just enough room to get an X-Acto knife inserted and slit the tape around the box. Was still a bit of a pain, but you can be sure no loss of product will occur during their journey to you.So, yes, I can recommend them for most projects that may require using washers in conjunction with a screw.

Worked
They cane quick and was exactly what I needed. Read some comments about them not fitting 1/4 inch bolts so I took the time to make sure everyone of them fit properly which they did. But my biggest concern is with amazon themselves. Everything is China made. Can't even find name brand items half the time anymore. Only China made junk which is frustrating. I started buying directly from the distributors themselves instead of amazon because I can't find half the stuff I'm looking for or it's built in China and is cheap and poorly manufactured

These are NOT 1/4" id - these are .240 or smaller ID
If you are going to listed items with an ID and OD, then it needs to be correct. I bought these to go over a 1/4" SS dowel, but they of course will not fit. It's also almost impossible to drill out a washer this size, so I cannot even do that. The ID is max .240, also the OD is not the indicated 1/2", but rather .470 or smaller.
