Whooo Knew? The Truth About Owls

Very informative! Love the pictures!
Annette Whipple has done it again! I just love her educational books about animals that teach kids great info in a fun, exciting way. This one is no exception! Whooo Knew peaks a child's interest in this fascinating and beautiful creature - the owl. Kids will love the brilliant photos and tidbits of info, like the fact that the smallest owl is the size of a soda can and weighs as much as a hard-boiled egg, and the largest owl dines on opossums, geese, skunks, and other owls! Teachers and parents - you need this resource in your library. I highly recommend Whipple's Whooo Knew - The Truth About Owls.-Julie Lavender, author of 365 Ways to Love Your Child: Turning Little Moments into Lasting Memories (Revell) and Children's Bible Stories for Bedtime (Z Kids/Penguin Random House)

Incredible book!
For any budding birder, this book is a must have. Any kid who loves nature books, this book is a must have. WHOOO KNEW is very kid friendly but full of incredible information about owls. The owl "narrator" adds a touch of humor that makes you want to turn the page to see what else he has to say. And the photos are so gorgeous that you'll want to reread this book over and over again just to savor it all over again. Read this book!

It’s a hoot!
This book is filled with excellent photographs and drawings that passed my 9 yo ornithologist’s test. There is lots of excellent information and if you buy the hardcover there is an entire poster hidden in the book jacket.

I gave my Granddaughter these for Christmas last year.
Children are attracted to the sound of the owls at night. I bought these for my 7 year granddaughter. She loved them. She and her Dad go out at night to find where the owl that is hooting is.
