I was able to help my cousin fulfill his lifelong dream of becoming Ariel from The Little Mermaid. He said the mermaid tail blanket couldn't have been more life-like and that the purple really brought out his eyes. 10/10 would buy again. Will buy again. Will be the only linens in my house.

This is a very cute product. I am over 50 years old and I love it – I bought it just for myself! That having been said. But the people who are so picky about everything let me break some things down for you. This is not a thick heavy knit, end it is not the greatest quality on earth. I got the turquoise blue and it's a very pretty color. The tail is not enclosed so if you put your feet in and keep going down you can put them all the way out through the bottom, but the bottom is tight. If you're just laying around in the blanket you can barely tell there's a tail on the end of it you have to spread it out to make it look pretty. I think anybody who likes to sit around with a blanket on them would think this was really cute and sweet. Unless you happen to receive a defective one, I don't see how anyone could complain about this for $13.

I knit myself and I could make one, but then I saw this and said, why when I can buy one and see if I would appreciate it. I was actually a little scared that it would not fit me. There is only one adult size and frankly, I'm older and there is a lot of adult here!! Let's just say that in the doctor's office I'm considered morbidly obese, being 85 lbs overweight. It actually fits real nice!! It helps that the upper portion is not fully closed all around and can be used more like a blanket. The important part down by the lower legs and feet is enclosed and keeps the feet and legs nice and toasty. There is an opening at the feet, but you can just fold that inward so that it closes up nicely and keeps the draft out. Its probably one of the reasons why it fits bigger people like me . . . its not sealed closed so tightly that it becomes limiting. Its really soft. If you follow the washing instructions, it should last a good long time.

Great product and fabulous price. I plan to buy more as gifts. Nicely packaged so it makes a wonderful gift.

My Mom loves to snuggle up and read a good book, especially in the winter, of course. Because I'm a surfer, I've always known that my bloodline contained mermaid DNA. After many years of trying to determine if it came down the line from my mother or father, I finally was able to rule out my father. I gave him surf lessons in San Diego once. He floundered entirely, his 6'4" heavily muscled frame sunk like a rock, and he looked completely out of his element. This meant, in no possible way, shape or form, could my father possibly be a mer(man). Recently, I decided to let my Mom in on the secret, that I knew she was a mermaid, and that she, much like the Little Mermaid, must have traded her mermaid tail for a voice, so that she could snag a land man(imal). I did not tell her I knew her secret, but I sent this fabulous mermaid tail blanket so that she could read books all winter long while snuggled up in a tale of her past origins. (She called me after receiving it this Christmas and told me how much she digs it!)

After carefully researching other mermaid blankets, I finally decided on the LAGHCAT, and I'm so glad I did. I purchased them for my two nieces (7 and 9) for Christmas. I opted for the adult blanket after reading a few of the reviews. The blanket wasn't too big for two little girls and allowed plenty of blanket to cover the upper body. I got the Lovely Green and Pink and they were both very pretty. The blankets arrived in vacuumed sealed bags that were inside of the drawstring bag along with the mermaid necklace. I took them out of the inner bag and did not detect any smell. The blankets are beautiful and my nieces loved them. They had a mermaid sack race in them and the blankets held up fine. They also loved the necklace (mermaid was about 2" so a little large but my nieces thought they were great). There is a small hole in the bottom of the blanket, but it is not big enough to walk around while wearing the blanket. The back is opened towards the top but closed at the bottom so your feet stay snuggled but you can move your body and arms around without feeling claustrophobic. I thought the price was great for all that you got--pristine packaging; soft, snuggly blanket; adorable necklace and a nice cinch-sack bag. Would definitely buy again.

This was the perfect gift for my 10 year old daughter. It is great for reading a book and watching movies. This is soft and cozy and true to size. It is not a costume or for playing in. Delivered right on schedule.

I love my mermaid blanket! It's super cozy and the perfect size for me. I am 5 foot and it gives plenty of extra room. Plus I have a small dog that likes to bury himself under my blankets and both he and I can fit in it comfortably. When it came for some reason it was moist and smelled a little musty out of the package, but I threw it in the wash, hung it to dry and viola..it was perfect! I plan on getting some for my nieces birthdays and possibly more for myself. I love blankets!!

Not worth buying. Quality is not so good n above all the look as shown in picture was not there

So not what was was described and as seen on the picture! Way too thin, not for the price, so underwhelmed.Never again .. sooooo disappointed.
