So far this product is great! The lid actually clamps down so my dog can't get to the puppy pads to tear them up - the main reason I got a pad holder. Some of the other pad holders don't hold the pad down well or fit loosely so my dog can still get to the pad.I will update this review after using it longer (only been using it one day). It is a good size for my small French bulldog! It looks exactly like the photos. And it came in cute kawaii packaging :)UPDATE after using for about a week: I still like this a lot. The included reusable pad really does wash out well, and it does not leave as strong of an odor as a typical puppy pad. The feet on the bottom have an AWESOME grip, so no matter how hard my dog tries, she cannot slide this around on the hardwood floor. It is easy to wipe down as well, nothing sticks to the grate. It took a little while for my dog to understand that this is her new potty area, but she has been using it fairly consistently now. I got her to get used to it by setting her normal puppy pads on top of the grate, letting her pee on top of those for a while, then placing them underneath the grate. The best way to do it (and unfortunately not something I was able to do in my current apartment) is to confine your pup to a small space, in which they ONLY have access to their bed, their water dish, and their pad. This could be a playpen, a sectioned off room, or even a spare bathroom/walk in closet with a baby gate. This will teach the dog to use the grate! Dogs naturally want to pee on soft surfaces (grass, cloth, pads, etc), so it will take training to get them to use a plastic box with a plastic grate over it, but it shouldn't take too long to do so. I estimate that Walter will be fully trained in the next week or so without having to confine her - if I was able to confine her, it would probably take even less time.

It looks well made, but since it didn't come with the advertised pad insert I'll have to use disposables, completely defeating the purpose of this purchase.

Meh...Kind of small for the price. There are cheaper ones out there for the same size and type. Didn't like the replaceable mat.

This is working BEAUTIFULLY for us!!! I love it so much! You can put newspaper inside, or washable pee pads (or even nothing at all...I put the EZ Whelp small pads in there -- they fit PERFECTLY). I highly recommend, if you want to use this, that you train your dog using the confinement method. It's SO much easier than having to supervise them constantly. (Briefly: the confinement method starts them out inside a pen with JUST enough room for food and water, potty tray, and bed. They are only allowed outside the pen with strict supervision -- eyes OR hands on the dog at all times. If that's not possible, then they stay in the pen.) After three to four weeks of no accidents outside the pen, enlarge the space slightly. You can google this method online and read more about it, but it's working wonderfully for our puppy and we've only had a few accidents over a three week time period -- as opposed to accidents every single day, as is common with some of the other training methods.)I very highly recommend this product. It's super easy to rinse. Even when puppy has poo'd and stomped it into the grate, it rinses off very easily (sometimes I use the toilet brush to help). The plastic they used to make this is so slick, it rinses quite nicely. I am surprisingly exuberant about this product, given what it's for. ;)

So far it is really good i have two four month old poppy poodles 4Lb i thought they would not us it i had to put a puppy pad down on it and lock it in on the first night but today i took it off and they started using it keeps your floor clean and stops puppy from eating on puppy pad.

This product is the BEST!!! It has made my life way easier with my pet! I am no longer frustrated about my puppy ripping and destroying his pee pads. This tray has secure latches and I also love the thick pad that it came with. I wrap one of the disposable pee pads to the thick pad and I simply dispose of the used/soiled one. My 11 week old puppy had no problem at all transitioning from his ordinary pad to this plastic tray! I just placed it at the exact same location where I had his pee pads before. Whoever invented this tray: Thank you! I truly recommend this product!

this saved us a lot of money and headacheour puppy was chewing the pad and eating it , we got this and that problem got taken care of , also when you use this you do not need to change the pad that often until it is soaked , surprisingly we tried to use it without a pad and it worked just fine believe it or not you can not even smell the urine anymore when we tried without a pad and now we do not buy pads and we just wash it every other day with just regular water and put it back and it is perfectthanks for this amazing product .
