Maxam Medical Advanced 3" Memory Foam Wheelchair Cushion w/ WetPro Waterproof liner

I did not buy this to use in a wheelchair, but my review is not regarding the comfort of this product - it's regarding the quality & the facts stated on the list item listed.1) This is a combination of memory foam & high density foam - which is included in the product description. However - the 4.25" one claims to have 2" of each - that is definitely not the case. The memory foam portion is in between 1.5-1.75".2) The cushion itself is terribly constructed. You would think this would be rather simple - two pieces of foam glued together...and that would be rather simple, if the glue used was worth anything. I took this out of the wrapping & removed the fabric cover to look at the "waterproof" cover - I then unzipped the waterproof cover to look at the foam & as I took that out the two pieces started to come apart...they were 1/2 way apart before I even got it out of the cover (& it's not like I had to pull or force it out...I was just lifting it up...). So I now have 2 cushions - a 2"+ high density foam cushion & a ~1.65" memory foam cushion.Ultimately - you get what you pay for - so keep that in mind. And you may want to have some extra 3M77 spray glue - or a similar product - to keep the two pieces of foam together.The waterproof cover seems extremely thin...but I have yet to actually test that bit out.

. This was a very good cushion but we returned it, unused. It proved to be much too firm for my very ill son-in-law's deteriorating skin. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who needs a good, firm cushion, but not for very debilitated persons whose skin tends to become very fragile.

very lightweight pad. doesn't quite give my dad enough height but I needed something waterproof. the outside cover of this isn't totally waterproof but the inside is both washable and waterproof so this is perfect for our needs.

Useing it for outdoor furniture added seat suhion....wotrh the price, thick, heavy...well encased. adequate yet firm foam. Be aware low tempetures (40 degrees or less) harden the cushon initially. Worth the price.

comfy cushion... so far it is holding up my super obese body... after a couple of hours it squishes down a lot but... it pops back up if i stand... better than the gel and foam cushion i used previously (which i keep on top of this one so i am even more comfy)... i liked it enuf to buy a second one... full marks.

This cushion is not as comfortable, thick, or supportive as the last one I bought for my mother. Unfortunately, I don't know the brand of the other one. It is sufficient for our needs, but next time I will spend a little more for better quality.
