I've been experimenting with a variety of face creams, trying to determine which one(s) live up to the hype. I liked that Allegresse's Bio Anti-Wrinkle Cream is made in the USA with a focus on natural ingredients, and without sodium laurel sulfate (SLS), parabens, petroleum, or synthetic color. So I had high expectations for this cream.My initial impressions were mixed. The packaging is attractive, but deceptively large for the amount of product you actually receive. Though the box seems unnecessarily large, it does do a good job of protecting the jar from damage in transit. About half of the jar's total height is from the lid alone; the amount of product contained within seems rather small compared to the size of the container.I initially thought the cream had partially evaporated/dried out, as it seemed very dense and not at all creamy. But when I touched a fingertip to it, I realized it has more of a butter-like consistency as opposed to a traditional cream. It glides easily across the skin and really does feel smooth, hydrating, and rejuvenating. It absorbs well, too, without leaving a greasy feeling or shine behind. And, to my surprise, it actually does contain 24K gold flakes, as you might be able to see in the photo of the cream on my fingertip.Overall, I'm impressed by how effectively this non-creamy face cream moisturizes. But do the gold flakes really do anything to improve the look and texture of skin? I'm not convinced. So while I really do like Allegresse's Bio Anti-Wrinkle Cream, I feel the oversized packaging and 24K gold flakes are a bit gimmicky and don't justify the $79 price. If Allegresse did away with the gimmicks and lowered the price, I would rate their Bio Anti-Wrinkle Cream 5 stars; but in light of my perception that the 24K flakes are inflating the price, I feel that a 4-star rating better reflects the overall value of this product.

Oooh this makes for a very nice day cream. The directions say to apply it to clean, dry skin. It is a thick cream that is easily patted onto skin. It doesn't drag- it rather melts as it is worked in. The resulting feel is lightly moisturized. I tend to like a heavier feeling cream, but this is a really nice change for me, especially for day time use. It simply is fully absorbed, leaving the skin feeling toned and fresh.It is great by itself, or for use under make up. I tend to have a bare face (except for SPF), but occasionally use some liquid foundation, too. It doesn't pill under my liquid, and it doesn't grab my loose powder (no splotches).It's pricey, but if it continues to keep my skin happy (and improve a couple of trouble spots), then I would keep using this. It has several great ingredients, and while it does contain fragrance, it is listed near end of list. I thought it might be a naturally occurring scent from the other items in the list, but I am not sure. I can't quite discern the aroma, kind of a musky spicy scent. It is noticeable, but it isn't too strong. I am so sensitive to certain scents- I get the nausea and headaches from fragrance- and this cream hasn't triggered anything like that for me. Phew!I'm mid 40s, clear mostly unlined skin (keeping my eye on a couple spots). Tends to be dry. Often pink from non acne rosacea. So my skin can be sensitive to products due to that. So far so good with this. Since it isn't greasy or overly damp in its moisturization, I imagine it is good for any skin type. It feels so light after application! Gorgeous!I like that it is formulated without SLS, parabens, mineral oils, petroleum or synthetic color. I’m not certain that Bio Skin Care Anti-Aging Face Cream - Tone Repair fades age spots, but, one thing certain, I haven’t seen any new face wrinkles or lines and, at my age, that’s always a positive thing. My skin also appears thicker and feels more resilient to daily wear. Though my skin is not dry, the cream also adds dewiness to my complexion and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin.Whether the cream is worth the extra expense is still in question. The container is satisfactory, nothing to write home about. What’s amazing is the thick, smooth texture of the cream. It actually looks like butter in a jar. The scent is very subtle, and I can’t detect the faintest fragrance after I apply the cream, which, by the way, goes on as smooth and silky as powder. Once applied, the cream absorbs from the start into the skin without a trace of greasiness.I love that it is made in the U.S.A. and the ingredient list looks pretty decent. I love this cream as a moisturizer and I'm hoping it will do its job to help prevent wrinkles, but only time will tell. I don't have too many wrinkles currently, so I'm using it more as a preventative than anything.The cream is VERY thick. Almost a little too thick and I have to really dig my finger in to scoop it out. At first I didn't like this, but once I rubbed it onto my face, I realized that the thickness is what makes it feel so luxurious. And it feels pretty light once it's on your face! It doesn't feel greasy at all- I have pretty sensitive skin and am prone to breakouts, but haven't had any problems in the month I've been using this.The fragrance isn't overpowering, but to me, it's really pleasant.I will definitely continue using this cream- it's a little bit pricey, but it can be hard to find a face cream I like and this is a good weight and fragrance. Also, a little goes a long way so it should last a while!

When this Bio Skin Anti Aging Face cream arrived, I ended up coming back to the listing to see the product details because the gold specs threw me. It arrives boxed and the container is a small jar with an easy to screw off lid. Opening it up, the cream had slid during shipment so it almost look like about 1/4 of the product was missing, and you can visibly see specs in the cream. There is a slight scent, but nothing irritating or overpowering. It is thick and rich, and the cream itself did not cause any irritation, however I expected more results, especially at this price point being a premium product. It says it fades age spots, but it did a good job of moisturizing. It's great the product is paraben free.
