Escaped into a brilliant read!
Wow what a story, vivid, stunning and definitely 100% definition of a page turner. I read you let me in by this Author a while back and was not impressed so was dubious about this one, but something about this plus great reviews intrigued me. I definitely wasn't disappointed this was a fabulous psychological thriller. I was there on that island with Lori. I can't really say to much without spoiling it for anyone only to say I would highly recommend this. I read a lot of this genre and this is definitely one of the best I've read in a long while.

One of the best psychological thrillers I've read in a long time
I enjoyed this book so much, it's one of my favourite reads of the last year. The author is so good at creating a sense of place and I felt transported to the remote Fijian islet with Lori. There was so much tension but also lots of action which moved the plot along so the waiting and taut atmosphere wasn't unbearable. I loved the story arc and felt the ending was surprising and so satisfying. Honestly a great book for those who love their well plotted and beautifully written psychological thrillers. 5 stars.

Tedious and boring
POSITIVES - I like the now and then scenario between the two main characters, it worked very well with the theme of the book.NNEGATIVES - The story was bland and repetitive, with the saga of the two stereotypical sisters just droning on and on. There were far too many descriptive cliches and not enough exciting, twisting and plotting. This book is certainly not a thriller, I persevered to half way and skimmed through the rest, to the predictable end.If you want to read a good thriller then go for one of Angela Marsons D.I. Kim Stone books, real page turners, you won't want to put down.

Probably the best thriller in thriller writing history
It's no secret that my book preference is thrillers written by female (preferably british, we just do grim, dark, suspensefulness better) authors, so this book was already winning, however this book had me hooked on page 1. Lucy is an incredible writer and this, in my opinion, is her finest work yet.Every page held a secret, a twist, or a nugget of information that keeps the reader up until 3am (on a work night...) to find out what happened. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

A shame *spoilers*
From the reviews and the synopsis I thought this would be great, but I wouldn't class this book as a thriller at all. As is often the case, as soon as a man is introduced it HAS to be a love interest which is obvious, and not very original. I found it bananas that a baby was involved as a survivor because guess what all Lori has ever wanted is? As well as being ridiculous this meant I immediately knew this couldn't turn into an actual thriller, as you are basically babysitting the entire story, and know Lori has to be alive. The sentences "strapped to her chest/kissed his forehead/charged look" seem to appear in every other paragraph and got very repetitive.A great premise but odd plot choices and predicability made it a cliché.

An outstanding book
What an incredible story. I have just finished reading it and can honestly say that it is one of the best books that I have read for a very long time. It is beautifully written with the story building from the two sisters’ voices. I was there on the island in Fiji which is the hall mark of a good book. Very highly recommended!

A good read.
I love Lucy Clarke's writing. It is fast and pacey and bang up to date. This latest book kept me up reading long past my bedtime. Those of you who are new to Lucy's work will devour this book, with its many twists and turns in its plot. Unfortunately, I have read all of her books and found that this one was like a rehash of Sea Sisters and No Escape/The Blue. It also left me with some unanswered questions about the pilot's motives and I had guessed the ending by the middle of the book, so sadly no real surprise ending. I have had enough of the 'sister' theme that runs through almost all of her books and the island setting. I think if she writes another book, she should try something different. I enjoyed You Let Me In because it was slightly different.
