I still use this often and its over 9 years old.
After learning more about my migraines, I decided to purchase this to replace the cold wash clothes I would use for my pain. I wasn't quite sure if this would work. The problem I had with just using a cold washcloth was that it would get warm fast and I had to constantly turn it and lay in a certain position in order for the cloth to stay in place, it would get my hair and pillow wet, and sometimes it was not comfortable. I knew I needed something else. For my migraines (When I first bought this I had about 28 days a month with pain, and now get them 20 days a month), the meds help but sometimes they don't. I read somewhere years ago, that the capillaries in my head expand, causing several things to happen, for me it is debilitating migraines. I learned that using a cold wet washcloth helped to relax my capillaries enough to actually rest, sleep, or just find a position to ride the migraine pain. Anyway, this lead me to find something that would: 1. stay in place, in any position I found comfortable, 2. Stay cold longer, 3. Apply the right amount of pressure to most of my head (most of my migraines cover half of my head, sometimes the pain moves in different areas) 4. THE BONUS, blocks most of the light that also causes pain.Well I have to say, this cap worked right from the day it came to the house. I threw it in the freezer for about 1 hour and used this. I only had to adjust my hair to be inside the cap and off the back of my neck. I was able to lay exactly as I wanted, it stayed cold for what felt like hours, it held my head together (joking , but not really) applying the right amount of pressure where needed, and all over my head, it was tight enough to stay in place even if I needed to carefully move positions. I have light blocking blinds in my house that work great except the glaring light from around the edges, and this cap blocked out the remaining light. After 10 years of using this Migracap, I would only change only on thing. I quickly learned that I needed to keep my migra cap in the freezer inside a ziplock baggie. Although the freezer smells are minimal, while having a migraine my sense of smell is heightened and I can smell the freezer. When I need it I just take it out of the freezer and the baggie and go to bed. I have even used this sitting up in the livingroom to visit family when the pain is just at a level 5.Out of every medication I have tried and take now, this cap has been by far the best purchase I have ever made, right up to this day about 9 years ago. Yes I still use this to this day.I hope this is helpful for you. I should have written this years ago.

Works great, but in my case
Works great, but in my case, it doesn't stay cold long enough to completely get rid of my worst migraines. So I bought another one. I keep them both in the freezer, and use one and then switch them out when the first one gets warm.

Product quality diminished
Some years ago I purchased two of the caps. They worked great and the jell packs did not freeze solid making it flexible and comfortable to wear. I just received a new one and found the quality was not the same and the jell packets froze making the mask uncomfortable to wear.

Needs improvement, but it's ok.
I'm not completely satisfied. It's not completely as described. So, it was somewhat ordered based on images. The ice pack placement is good, but they are in a crinkling plastic and it's annoying. Also, I thought that there'd be ice packs in the crown of the cap. there are not. So, the hole on top, that is meant for hair to be pulled through, I have to shove a soft ice pack in, and somehow manage to pull my hair through still. Also, with a full blown migraine and aura, it's pretty difficult to fight positioning, pulling hair through and add in that ice pack. So, all that to say the concept is great, but it has a few areas for improvement.

Not impressed
Was very unimpressed w this item. It's a very thin cheap material and the ice bags are very small. Didn't help w my migraines.

Good icing cap for migraines
This thing is coooold! And the ice pockets are well placed all over the head. Especially the base of the skull!! Seems to be well made and designed. Definitely not for someone with a large head. It is just the right kind of tight for me and I have a medium size melon.I wish it had come with a bag to store it in, in the freezer but that is the only bad thing I can say. Good product!

Love!
My husband and I both get migraines. We have found that a combination of cold with some pressure, darkness, and E. Oil work best for relief. This was a great addition to our remedy. The material is like spandex so it has a snug fit which I really like. I love that I can cover my eyes with the cold too. The cold aspect is perfect, not too overwhelming in my oppinion. It may not be for everyone, but I would strongly recommend this product!
