Vile chemical taste when new, difficult to wash off. The holes are big enough for pills to fall through into the water, and it's easy for pills to get stuck.

I have a teenager that can't swallow pills. For the first time due a serious medical issue our child had to swallow a pill and no liquids were available. We bought everything we could find to help. This device was nothing but messy. Make sure you dump about 1/3 the water bottle out before placing this on top or you will get wet. This did nothing, the pill just stayed on my child's tounge and they spit it out. It was worth a try but it did not work for us. I have no problems swallowing pills and I tried it and I could not see what benefit it would have, maybe it would help someone that had motor skills problems and could not pick up small pills. The cup pill swallowing aid is exactly like this. I bought that as well. Different shape but same concept so it did not work.

I have not had the opportunity to use them yet. Bought to use with a 5 year old who has difficulty with pills, I sure hope they work for him.

I had some problem getting into the water bottle, so you would not want to have to attach it to a new bottle every time you took a pill. Put it on one bottle and refill that bottle. The gaps in the grid/mesh were also too wide for the small pill that my child takes, but would work fine with a larger pill.

Disgusting. It has a coating on it that made my daughter gag. I finally put MY mouth on it and I still can't get the taste of licking the inside of a latex balloon out of my mouth. Washed it twice. Disgusting!
