There is a lot of action for many real and fictional characters that interact over this three book series. The third and final focuses on a sea captain from before who comes to the aid of a prince, a possible widow and an orphan.

I AM SCOTTISH BY BIRTH AND I LOVE AMANDA SCOTT FOR THE TALES SHE WEAVES ABOUT SCOTLAND AND THE HISTORY. I ENJOY THEM BECAUSE OF TIME SHE WRITES SCOTLAND WAS A COUNTRY BY ITSELF. SHE MAKES ME FEEL PROUD OF WHO I AM. THE PEOPLE SHE WRITES ABOUT ARE REAL. THE ONE PERSON IN HER BOOKS I DISLIKE IS THE DUKE OF ALBANY. HE WAS THE CONSTABLE AND UNCLE TO THE KING OF SCOTLAND BUT HIS AMBITION WAS TO BE KING HIMSELF. HE WAS CALLED STEWARD AND IT LATER BECAME STEWART. SHE IS ONE OF THE BEST STORY-TELLERS OF SCOTLAND. HER LOVE STORIES ARE GOOD TOO BUT I LIKE AS I SAID THE HISTORY SHE WEAVES INTO THEM. THANK YOU AGAIN. SHE ALWAYS ENDS "SUAS ALBA". THIS MEANS SCOTLAND FOREVER.

This is my favorite of this series. Amanda Scott is one of my favorite authors and I love how she includes history in her books

This book was good, not the best I've read but certainly entertaining enough to keep me reading. Amanda Scott is a fantastic author and her books are amazing I just didn't like the ending too much, feel more could have been accomplished, but none the less very romantic and scottish, haha 2 things I look for in a book.

Amanda Scott is a great writer. I have enjoyed and own all of her books. She makes life in Scotland come alive. I will always buy her books. She can be trusted to keep you glued to the pages until you suddenly realize it is after midnight and you are still reading her book.

Very good plot. Moved smoothly throughout.

The characters are believable, and the humor over the man who had no sisters but thought he understood women bring this book into the "good read" catagory. Scott is back to her best storytelling in this book.

Another enjoyable Scott book.
