This is a plug and play tail gate cap which was extremely easy to install. Just snaps into the existing truck holes. My 5th wheel redesigned the original and this replacement is a perfect match. Took about 15 minutes to lift the old from inside the tail gate hatch. The pricing was the lowest on the market. That's why I purchased this instead of continuing with the universal duct tape patch forever. LOL! I'll buy again from Pitt if the need arises.

I wish i knew there was a timeframe to return defective product. I will be more careful in the future.This is made to small the inserts do nor line up with the holes they need to go into the tailgate. And as I tried to get a few tabs started the cap itself cracked. Very brittle. Not happy at all with this product.

Easy replacement. Pay less without sacrificing manufacturing quality.

Service was very fast. Part fit fairly well, but I ended up have to use self tapping screws to hold it in place. Not sure if it’s just my truck or not. I lost my other one in a wind storm.....

I bought one of these to swap out for the one I have that’s fallen apart and this one does not fit whatsoever. It’s not as thick as it should be by like a solid inch. I tried forcing it on, tried hearting it. Does not fit at all
