Great chair, took it to Hilton Head, comfortable and secure. Some things to know:. 1. The chair does not automatically stay closed while walking with the strap over your shoulder. One arm must be over the side of the chair to keep it closed. 2. My cup holder broke with the first beer bottle I put in it. I used some black electrical tape to repair. Read some negative reviews about the response from BeachMall, so just took care of it myself. 3. The head pillow flops and hangs while carrying the chair. Again, fixed myself with some Velcro strips. Overall, I love this chair. It has some basic things that should be addressed by the manufacturer. But, in terms of being comfortable and relaxing on the beach, the chair was awesome and well worth the price to me. I included two pics to this review:. I am a mid 300 lb guy, short and wide. If you are a big guy, buy this beach chair. Yes its a bit more expensive than other models but it was worth it to me. I am 6'6" and 325 pounds. I do not have to worry about my beach chair collapsing due to my weight since its rated for 500 pounds. The back is perfect and my head rests right on the pillow. My son purchased one and he is 6'8" and slender. He didn't need to worry the weight but he loves the height of the chair back. He can now lean back and rest his head. Since I have more replacement parts that I can count, the chair height is great. I am way past the age where I need my beach chair to be only a few inches off the sand. It is so much easier to get up and down. The pockets on the back, side and front are convenient.I have only two suggestions if the manufacturer reads this review. First, a velcro fastener for the head rest so it does not flop around when being carried. Second, slightly thicker wood for the arm rests. The arm rests are the same as standard beach chairs and I would feel a bit more comfortable if the arm rests where a bit more robust.

I bought this chair because I was tired of the quality of chair at any of the local joints. I'm a fairly big guy (6'2 and 300lbs) and have a hard time getting a comfortable chair. I recently took this chair to Nags Head North Carolina for a week and used it everyday at the beach. Plenty of room and no worried that it was going to fall apart. It opens and closes smoothly with no creeks. The cup holder on the right hand rail will accommodate a beer can with one of the smaller koozies ( the type of koozie that folds flat when not in use). I really can't complain about it. Its a tad heavier than a regular chair but its not enough that it makes a difference.

I'm a big guy and have destroyed more than my share of beach/athletic chairs over the years. This chair is awesome. It's big, comfortable and sturdy, but not as heavy as it's made out to sound, and the manufacturer has taken feedback to heart and corrected some of the early issues (like the head cushion now has a Velcro strip to keep it from flopping around while carrying the chair). Storage is in the right places and in the right sizes, and the fold out cup holder is nice. Expensive - but worth the peace of mind and comfort for bigger dudes.

I was concerned about the price but relieved when we got it as it's very well made and sturdy (it is a heavy chair for obvious reasons). There is enough room for my husband to be comfortable and not worry about squeezing into the chair. He's 6ft 1 apprx 330 lb. Update 7/27/18. After a week at the beach, I am very happy with the purchase of this chair for my husband. It is worth the price. It is heavy and he had to carry it to the beach although I would have been able to. He felt comfortable in it and there was plenty of room!

We were really on the fence about purchasing this chair for my boyfriend because it is on the pricey side. But I wanted him to have a low sitting beach chair similar to mine and his son’s, instead of using his camping/fold up chair like he was initially insisting. He’s 6’1 and was around 350 lbs when we took our beach trip, so I wanted to make sure he had one that was sturdy and that he would be comfortable in. We bit the bullet and bought the chair, which turned out to be a great decision. This thing was like a throne. Super sturdy and very comfortable.We put our chairs by the edge of the water every day we were at the beach and he absolutely loved it. It’s not low enough that the seat touches the sand. It sits a bit higher than some beach chairs, but it’s low enough to enjoy the waves splashing into your legs and feet. He also appreciated the pockets that were on the side for his phone and water bottle. He complimented his chair multiple times during vacation and told me I was right about getting it. :)

This chair has been perfect for the beach. I am a big guy 400lbs, 6’3”, And this chair is sturdy and built very well to accommodate my weight. Easy enough to set up and even has a nice drink holder. Definitely worth the money especially if you want the security of having a sturdy chair for any event.

This is a BIG chair made for a BIG guy. I spent a week at the beach with this chair and loved it! I weigh in at 325 and didn't feel like I was going crush the chair or that it was going to break on me. If your a big guy you will love it!
