No more nicks! Very sharp - 6 layers of fabric without issue
I have been quilting for a while now and was using another brand that had a "permanent out" blade. I can't tell you how many times I've nicked myself. I am a very small person at only 4'11" and have very small hands (think childlike) so it was not easy to retract and expand everytime I needed to re-position my fabric. I saw this retractable one and knew it was for me. I can make an intial cut, lay it down, re-position my template and pick it back up without worrying about an exposed, very sharp blade.I should also mention that I've cut through 6 layers of relatively thick cotton with this blade and it never missed a beat. I love it and would highly recommend it to anyone that needs a rotary cutter for paper or fabric.

Great Cutter, Great Value
I purchased this rotary cutter as a replacement for my Olfa cutter of a similar design. My Olfa is about 14 years old and, because of it's colour, tends to get mixed in with other Olfa's when I go to classes and retreats. I spent the weekend trying it out and I am impressed. Cuts like a dream, locking mechanism works fine and the balck and blue colour scheme definitely stands out! It was a great value at just under $17 with 5 additional blades. I was looking at about $35 dollars locally for just the Olfa cutter. It came swiftly and well packaged. I would definitely buy this product again from this seller!

For righties and lefties!
I was disappointed at first because the blade was on the wrong side of the cutter for me, as I'm left-handed. The seller reached out to me to inquire whether I was satisfied with my purchase and I shared my disappointment. She pointed out to me that the blade can be moved from one-side of the cutter to the other to accommodate either left- or right-handed people. Fantastic! And it cuts beautifully as well. I'm pleased that it comes with extra blades.

It's ok - Not as good as an Olfa rotary Cutter
It's ok - Not as good as an Olfa rotary Cutter, but serves the need. I needed a second cutter to use at my quilting guild so I didn't have to remember to pack it each time. This can stay with the sewing machine and only comes out at guild meetings. The washer had to be adjusted to keep the blade tight. It wiggled too much and was not steady. Just adjusted the bend of it with a pair of pliers (which should not have been necessary) and works ok.

Good enough
This brand rotary cutter works ok. Not quite as smooth as my Olfa, but at half the cost it works fine! I like the color.

Works best when used with a ruler as a cutting guide ...
Very sharp cutting tool. Works best when used with a ruler as a cutting guide to ensure even, accurate cuts.

Good purchase.
This is the first rotary cutter I have ever owned or used and I am very pleased with it. It's comfortable to use. The blades are super sharp and cut smoothly. Love that it comes with 5 bonus blades in a neat little case.

Works like a charm most of the time
Works like a charm most of the time. Occasionally I have to go back over a section that did not cut, but it will cut through multiple layers. It makes quick work of cutting jobs.
