I’ve read a bunch of books on raising venture capital, and have my MBA as well as have worked in the startup realm for more than four years. This is in the upper echelon of works about the intricacies of VC raising for founders. And probably the best for the average lay person with no experience in the space. It can dig into the incredibly complex facets of how startups get funded while still being very approachable. It has a unique flow of highlighting and calling out major points in addition to digging into areas.

As a start-up founder, I have relied on this book to get me up to speed in a field I knew little about. I highly recommend it.

Here's why I love this book: it doesn't try to sell you anything, it just seeks to enlighten. Raising Venture Capital is the antithesis of click-bait articles that only cover a small portion of the fundraising process and then leave you with dozens more questions. Rather, this book gives an incredibly holistic, broad, and deep overview of every part of fundraising. Moreover, it is non-dogmatic and shares multiple points of view. Cherry on top: it is so dang easy to read. 10/10, five thumbs up, pure gold.
