Ideal hand model for practicing nail techniques and recording instructional videos.
The media could not be loaded. I am extremely pleased with the prosthetic hand I have received. It is exquisitely crafted and remarkably lifelike. The material is incredibly supple, making it easy to manipulate each finger to my desired position. This is my first purchase of its kind and I would not hesitate to acquire it again in the future if necessary. ( Rings are not included )

Looks and feels real
The media could not be loaded. Its average size woman’s hand. Looks and feels real. Unlike anyone else I’m using this for tracing and it’s just what I needed!

I really like my mannequin hand
It’s very affordable easy to use and it’s great for beginner nail tech who wants to learn how to do nails

I have a full R-I Hand, a set of half hands and several fingers from R-I, If you know that maker. Her silicone hands are pretty well known. I want to try several brands and have various skin tones. Eventually I’ll have other brands to compare against but for now, I just can compare against one.Good?I wanted a cheaper silicone hand cause I was afraid to mess up my more expensive ones. This one is definitely cheaper. It’s posable. Just be careful only to bend the wires when you absolutely need to. Eventually wires in any practice hands can break so it becomes non-posable.The nail beds are wider… which probably makes it easier for a beginner. More canvas area. It’s realistic enough to fool non-nail tech people into thinking it’s real. The negatives?I personally don’t find the skin tone realistic and it misses some details that you’ll get in a more expensive silicone hand. There’s only one side (right hand.)There’s only one skin tone. Other brands have several skin tones. The I-R brand definitely has more realistic skin tones. I have 5 different ones from her collection. The nail beds are wider than the other brand I have meaning I can’t interchange the finished nails that well. The smaller nail beds on my other hands seem more refined and are more of a challenge to do acrylic with. It’s good practice… it’s still nice to be able to practice on a wide variety of nail beds. It’s both a pro and a con. This hand does NOT like anything with a moderate or high C-curve. The other brand will accommodate curved tips better than this one. They stick up in this hand. The cuticles are thinner and more stretchy. The cuticle pockets are shorter. You’ll want to get adhesive tabs or something to keep the nails in place better. The nails aren’t secure enough with just sliding them inside the pocket to file them.I take the tips out and file them by holding the tips in my hands. To be fair, I do that with all my silicone practice hands/fingers.Some advice.Builder Gel and acrylic won’t stick to the silicone. Brush them off like it never happened lol. Regular nail polish will need acetone to remove, from my experience. Gel polish peels off.Always remove the tips when the hand isn’t in use. It will stretch the cuticle pockets… especially if the tips are c-curve.Find some medium-long FULL COVER square tip nails that are relatively flat (no c-curve) to use as a nail plate. Use it for an overlay, cut them down and use forms, or glue tips to them to replicate a real hand.I like to put tips in backwards. Most tips are tapered and do not fit quite right in the normal direction. If you use tips that are not full cover, consider filing or cutting any sharp edges before inserting the tips into the pockets. If you don’t have tips to use, lay a thin layer of acrylic down on the bare silicone nail bed and wait for it to cure.Once cured, pop it off and push it up into the pockets. Lay acrylic again connecting it to the previously cured piece until you get close to the free edge. Then use a form to extend the nail. This method isn’t perfect, but it’s fun sometimes.Get a manicure brush and wash the hand with warm water when it gets dusty.

Awesome for modelling nails!
I bought this despite some iffy reviews and I couldn't be more happy! Now I will say that I went in and added some contour, veins, hyperpigmentation and color variation with a contour set, blush and some eyeshadow but I think it looks great! It has dramatically increased the ease in which I can take photos of my nail art. I used some matte fixitive lightly on top of my base to prevent smearing and then lightly when finished. After the fixitive dried I also used a quick round of matte powder but I think the result is pretty realistic and can save you a ton instead of buying one of the more expensive ones! (sorry about the box background, I ripped the padding out when it was drying)

Super big hand
Okay to be honest I think this hand it’s from a young boy …. (I’m not trying to offend), but it is a little big. I can’t use the regular size of nail tips because it doesn’t fit. Almost all the fingers are big size so the design doesn’t look as nice as I wish. Maybe it’s just me… I don’t know, keep reading reviews and see if this is something that much more people can realized or not!.
