CARLA LAB Lacto Biome Redshot AmpouleIt's kind of fun to pop the shot of red into the mixture when you first get this. I like this for my dry skin. It has a slight oily feel which I usually hate, but it soaks in fast and then I don't feel it at all. It has a medicinal/floral scent which I'm not too fond of.

You press the pump, which allows the red shot to flow into the clear fluid, and shake it to combine. Then the product is ready to use.It's a silky texture on the skin, between watery and serum consistency. Spreads easily across skin and absorbs well. It's instantly hydrating. It contains a great deal of niacinamide, which is a skincare superstar that helps repair skin's moisture barrier, brightens, reduces redness, has anti-inflammatory effects, and other benefits. The Lactobacillus Ferment has anti-inflammatory and anti-acne effects and helps to restore the skin's natural biome.I really enjoy this ampoule and the way it makes my skin look and feel softer, with less redness, and hydrated. Excellent value at around $18 at the time of this review. Would repurchase.Sensitive skins may have issues with the oils added at the tail end of the ingredients list for fragrance. It took me a couple of days before I actually burst the red shot, because I just liked the look of the two parts being separated. But, I wanted to try the product, so I finally bit the bullet and it was rather intriguing. It's neat that a company lets you sort of mix your own product together, somewhat making you a part of creating it, in a sense.Once mixed, the serum has somewhat of a disinfectant type scent that dissipates quickly once applied to your skin. It is slightly slicky and oily, but sinks in rather quickly. A little goes a long way, as I find putting too much on left my face a bit too sticky for too long.I've been using this serum along with the toner and cream in the same line most nights, for a couple of weeks now, and I am so impressed as to how well my skin looks and feels. I was dealing with some sort of ongoing rash type thing on my cheeks, but it cleared up after using mostly these products for about a week. My skin is softer, very hydrated and moisturized, my fine lines and wrinkles are much smoother, and I'm getting less puffiness around my nose and eye areas. My skin always seems to have some kind of irritation in those areas, but this trio seems to have helped with that.I use this serum alongside other brands sometimes and it plays very well with them. But, I'm glad to use it with the toner and cream in the same line most of the time, as they work extremely well together and my face is looking better than it has in a very long time.I would definitely recommend this serum, and the toner and moisturizer, as well.

Carla Lab Redshot is one of the most unique skincare products I've tried. I didn't expect much but after using for over a month I'm very pleased with the results. The bottle contains a bubble of pomegranate extract that you release into the mixture for a fresh concoction for your skin. Shake well! The thin, slippery serum applies evenly. It feels a little sticky at first so be patient for it to soak in and dry without leaving a film. My skin feels fresher. I've used this exclusively on one side of my face for the last month while testing another product on the other side. I had a jar of Carla Lab balancing cream so I also used that on the redshot side. I can truly say that my skin feels better and looks fresher. I'm really surprised at the results for the low price of the product. I'm hooked!The only question I have about this product is shelf life after the pomegranate has been released into the bottle. the package says my bottle doesn't expire until 2023. I presume that's intact. Once the seal is broken and the ingredients are blended, I would suggest being prepared to use daily as directed and not sit it back on a shelf for a few months.Excellent product.

As I first started applying this serum to my face, I didn't think that I would like it so much. That's because I picked up some sort of scent that wasn't all that pleasant. Kind of a hint of alcohol or some other disinfectant type of chemical, though I can't pick out anything on the list of ingredients that this might be other than maybe the eucalyptus globulus leaf oil. Not strong, but noticeable.But as I continued to spread this across my face, I noticed how wonderfully smooth this serum felt. It glides and leaves a nice protective almost plastic like barrier that helps to firm up the skin and makes for a healthy glow.At $18.95 (today's price) (as well as a coupon for 5% off) for 1.14 fluid ounces, this is being offered at a fair and reasonable price.
