great little problem solvers
Cut them down to fit in the height I had open in the available shelf.I stacked 3 8p-150W POE unifi switches. The first/ bottom switch, lined up with the holes great, but I went with a 1/2U spacing with the other two switches above so they would fit in the available height.. so the odd spacing, only 1 hole would line up, not a fault of the rails, just my odd spacing. These switches are light in weight, so not missing the top screws,, all is solid.FYI, A full 1U space would have put the top switch slamming against the shelf above, and with the way the wire shelfs have the side double rails all around , the top switch's ports would have been blocked. The height I have is the height I had to use. So not perfect looking with the odd 1/2u spacing and leaving out the top screws, but works perfect. And it's solid and practical.I have a set of USB powered fans from amazon blowing air threw the stack, and they are as cold as 1 standing alone, with no POE loads. Enough spacing between, and a little air... and the stacking works great, so I fit them in the space available.

Skip the floor rack, get these and some 2x4s instead
Glad I found out about these, they're super sturdy and pretty cheap, perfect for a custom rack build. I used a few 2x4s to build an 8U vertical wall mount rack and saved lots of money. I'm not sure if they even make wall mounts with that many Us.

The Hole is too tight.
Almost 4-Star? Good quality steel and over all not bad. The big issue is with the threaded holes and supplied screws. The paint or powder coating makes the holes very tight and the supplied Phillips head screws are not a true #2 , so you’ll need to pre thread all of the holes before installing the rails. Bottom line is that the rails worked but I will look for another supplier for my next order.

Buy a 12-24 tap with it
It's a just OK set of rails, but the price is good.Pro:- Price- Steel quality is fineCon:- 12-24 threads are undersize. Buy a tap with it and use it with a power drill. You'll be done in < 5 min- The spacing is too close. There is absolutely no space between the slots. Even 1 mm more would have been nice.

Does the job
Heavy gauge hard anodize steel. The "finger" where components are mounted is somewhat shallow, does the job am just used to seeing more metal. Useful labeling so u can be sure bolting onto the correct slot on both sides. Shinny black 12-24 screws included (racks screw size are not standard I learned) I wish to have been offered silver screws as an option. The screws taps is the weak part of this products, takes some effort to screws these in, am guessing because the holes are also painted, and the screws, adding a layer, perhaps tapping should occur AFTER anodizing. I made sure all tap holes work before permanently mounting my 8U, can't imagine doing this for a 60U. There is no gap whatsoever between slots, each slot is precisely 1U, the only way to add a gap is to skip to the next U. There are more than enough side holes to screw these to your studs.
