This is a Unique Piece weaved by "Atelier Mozona" Historically, the gorgeous "BeniOurain" carpets were made by, and named after, the Proud Amazigh People of the tribe of "BeniOurain" in the Mid-Atlas Mountains. They are actually the neighboring tribe to my Own "Zayane" tribe of "Ait M'âi" This particular rug is a 100% handmade "BeniOurain", thick, soft and fluffy, made out of natural white and black wool. No dye, colorants or chemicals of any kind were used. Yes, the wool comes from white and black sheep! It can be washed as frequently as you see fit although, these rugs do only need to be dusted and hanged out in the sun. The more sun they receive, the cleaner they become. It's the magic of natural wool. PS: Unfortunately, the "BeniOurain" designs and motifs are copied worldwide and many carpets out there claim to be genuine Moroccan "BeniOurain" carpets but they are made in India, Turkey or Egypt and are exported to stores everywhere and are sometimes sold for prices even higher than the authentic "BeniOurain"! Please ensure you search extensively before purchasing a "BeniOurain" rug and help in countering these knockoffs.
