Great book ❤️
My son (9 yrs) likes me to read to him to help him fall asleep. We loved the Cricket in Times Square but I was skeptical about this book, as it’s a sequel. It turned out to be a great book! I/we love the problem solving and how all the animals worked together for a good cause. It’d be great age appropriate book for him to read on his own too. (Honestly, even after he fell asleep, I found myself reading ahead!) Everything will work out - if we can all find a way to work together! Not to be cheesy, but I just wish ALL people could really feel that message!!

A simpler time
Don't get me wrong, my kids have plenty of books based on TV shows, movies, etc., and we really love a lot of the new children's literature that's out there, too. That said, it's refreshing to open a well-written book from a different era: the characters are engaging and the story (especially for kids) calls the reader back night after night. I especially appreciate that it's really appropriate for young readers...no gore, no big suspense, no flippant or cheeky language, just a strong story with compelling and believable characters.

Wonderful story
I love how the animals are so caring and thoughtful. Another great book in the cricket in times square series.

Nice sequel that doesn't disappoint!
Nice sequel to the original Cricket in Times Square. Pleasantly surprised. He is enjoying it just as much as the original. At least one picture every couple chapters is nice transition for younger readers. Vocabulary fine for my 9 year old's 3rd-4th grade comprehension.

Great book
I read this to my class for many years. Cricket in Times Square was the first in the series. Tucker, the mouse character is hilarious. The kids liked both books.

Fun Book
This book is a little more laid back and slower paced than the first one, The Cricket in Times Square. However, it is an excellent follow up. It introduces new characters and in many ways is more "sweet". If you enjoyed the first book in this series you will also find Tuckers Countryside equally satisfying.

For kids and grown-ups! Extremely well written and so poetic!
My kid loved it. This the second volume to the series. Very touching to see the friendship between a mouse, a cat, a cricket, and the adventures! There are too many spooky books now for kids. This is much better!

Mostly great fun
Another charming story about Chester Cricket, Harry Cat and Tucker Mouse. We enjoyed this very much until the plot that was hatched involved deceit. It was rather disappointing.
