4 meats with Kelp and Spirulina
Although Omega says this food is Veggie Flakes, their $7.29 food (2.2 ounces) lists “Fresh Kelp, Spirulina” as the fourth and fifth ingredients by weight, after “Whole Salmon, Black Cod, Halibut, Whole Herring.” It has additives. In my survey of 435+ fish foods, adjusted for moisture percentage, Veggie Flakes costs $9.61/$153.70 per dry ounce/pound, ABOVE my current average cost per dry ounce/pound of $127.39. I feed and give Veggie 2 stars for its meat and veggie content. In my zeal to add a 2nd flake food, I reordered more of this, when I already have several ounces left! Apr 22, 2022

Must be a bad batch this time😕
I have 11 fish tanks, and I breed fish to sell to our local fish stores, so I'm very familiar with fish food. Usually, Omega One fish food flakes are good to excellent, but this batch is NOT up to their usual high standards. The food doesn't smell like fish food. It smells more like breakfast cereal. The flakes are WAY too thick. They are usually very light and crumble easily when crushed in my hand. These are more like raisin bran flakes. But WORST of all, my fish won't eat it😧.I love this brand and I just reordered more of their food, but a different kind to avoid possibly getting more of this bad batch. It's VERY unfortunate that it is unreturnable😑. I accept that nobody's perfect, but I wish they would be accountable for this mistake.I'm still a big fan and will continue to buy their products.

Giant flakes that are crusty and dark brown
I love this product, but my last purchase online was not good. The flakes are usually smaller and a greenish color. Soft to the touch. This time they came as dark brown, crusty, and really hard. My Angelfish wouldn't even eat it. It appeared to be the wrong product in the same exact canister. Really confused. Did they completely change the recipe?

The item was just as described in the description
My fish absolutely love them! Sometimes I don’t have time to feed them veggies, so these are defiantly a good alternative. Just be careful grabbing them. They break really easily considering they’re delicate flakes. If you have smaller fish then it doesn’t really matter. They love them either way!

Great
Was feeding our fish in our reef tank Omega One Marine Flakes and the Blue Tang had spasms and was hitting his head on the glass and was aggressive towards the other fish at feeding time. Read online and suggestions were for Veggie Flakes so I decided to try them, not thinking it would help much. MUCH improved! Our engineering gobi however wasn't impressed so we feed the veggie Flakes first for the clown fish and blue tang and then follow up with a few Flakes of the marine for the engineering gobi and now we have a happy tank!

Not very flaky
First time purchasing this and probably won’t again. The “flakes” aren’t flakes. They’re small particles. Way too small for my large tangs to even grab so just floats around and causes increase in debris

Doesnt dirty up your aquarium
I recommend this brand and product. It never ends up moulding on the bottom and all types of fish like it.
