Outstanding for side sleeping.
Finally got the chance to use this. Put it on a basic cot and it works well for side and back sleeping. I am a side sleeper and it's the best I've used so far. Surprisingly thick compared to others. Have not tried it directly on the ground but with it's thickness I think it would be ok.Blows up and packs up pretty easily. Would recommend.

Good nights sleep, but not a winter weather pad.
This is a good product. 5 stars if it had some R-value as it does get a lil chilly when I used it in the mid 40's and had my 15 degree Marmot down bag. Packs light and compact. Does take a little while to pump it up using hands, but is not too bad. Would recommend to friend for no less than 40 degrees. I did get the wider version, would not recommend the smaller as my 24" wide version is just about as narrow as I would want to sleep on comfortably. Have used this several times now and it holds air fine all night long.UPDATE: I have used this several trips and it is holding up fine and is still comfy. My original comments still hold true, this is not a cold weather sleeping pad. Something not mentioned in the other reviews is the noise it makes when you move around on it. I was in Death Valley last weekend and we were spread out in our tents by several yards. People in tents 20' plus away from me said they could hear me when I would roll over. It is a minor gripe, but if you have a couple of these in the same tent and are a light sleeper I could see this being an issue. Filling up using the built in pump feels like you are giving CPR for a few minutes, It does get the blood moving.....

Really good for an inexpensive pad
I camp a LOT with my Boy Scout troop, and have worn out three much more expensive sleeping pads over the years, I wanted to buy a less expensive one for month-to-month camping and save the pricey ones for outings where I need lower weight (say, at Philmont). After using this pad for six months, I can say that it's really an excellent pad for normal camping events. The built-in foot pump is surprisingly effective and *much* easier than inflating orally.I'm a big guy (6'4", 230 lbs) and have no problem with the length or width of this pad. Not sure why others are having a hard time with it. Also for people saying it's not comfortable, a piece of advice: don't inflate it all the way. Most air pads need to be deflated a bit. I orient the thing so the valves are by my head so I can reach them easily, lie down on the pad and release air until it gets soft and squishy...It's totally comfortable this way.The only thing I don't like about this pad is the size and weight. My backpacking pad is about half the volume and a quarter of the weight...but it's also a lot less durable. All in all, this pad is an excellent value. I'm probably going to buy another one or two of them for the rest of the family.

Overall a good product.
It took me a minute to get the pumping action working, but when I did figure it out the mat was filled within a minute. Just make sure that your foot is covering the hole at the pump. Stupid me thought I needed to keep it uncovered. It is wide enough for the wife to get comfortable, but if you are one who sleeps with the pad inside your sleeping back then you will need a rectangular sleeping bag. This will not fit into a mummy style bag. It's wide for those who toss and turn.

Seems good after a week of indoor use
I bought the Airlite Sleeping Pad because I was visiting my son and his wife, and though they have a couple of rooms for guests in their new house, they haven't any spare beds, so I needed something to sleep on. I'm not much of a camper, largely because I don't like sleeping in a small space on a hard surface, and I was very happy to get back to a real bed after a week on the Airlite, but it was easy to blow up, kept inflated for my week-long stay, and allowed me to sleep reasonably well. Which is as much as I expect from a camping pad.Actually, it was easy to blow up too far. I inflated it as much as I could, with the built-in foot pump, before the first night on it, and had to let some of the air out in the middle of the night in order to make it a little softer.Since I used it indoors for only a week, I can't say how well the Airlite will hold up to prolonged use in a real camping environment. My daughter brought an old camping mat for me, but I knew that they usually stop holding air, so I ordered the Airlite and had it delivered to my son's house. Yep. That old mat held air through only half the night, and I had to blow it up. The brand new Airlite showed no evidence of any leaks, but only years of use will tell if that continues, and if the foot pump keeps working.

This inflatable travel bed is actually really nice. Especially the built in pump it has
This inflatable travel bed is actually really nice. Especially the built in pump it has. It definitely takes time to pump but nevertheless you dont have to feel like your running out of breaths trying to blow it up.The comfort of it is ok. It definitely does not feel like a real air bed, but it is comfortable enough for me to sleep ok, on hard surfaces and forest floors for a few nights. It definitely beats sleeping on a foam pad or the ground itself.I haven't tried any others of the same type so I can not compare it to the others that are much more expensive. I can't imagine it being any different as I find it that the material does nothing in comfort unless it is padded. Which also defeats the purpose if it being compact.Overall this was a very nice addition to my hunting travel gear. Definitely will never go back to sleeping on the ground.

Finally, an air mattress that holds air!
Comfortable air mattress. Holds air all night. Easy to inflate.
