Excellent protection for the back
This pad was added to a Schutt Sports Varsity O2 MAXX Skills shoulder pads that I reviewed w/photos elsewhere on Amazon. The pad is very protective and was easily added to the pads - no problem for an entire season. FS, WR, RB - so these pads came in handy for those hits to the back.

Gets the Job Done
My son plays football and wanted this in hopes it would help protect his back. It's comfortable and he has made comments it seems to help. Came in fast. Quality is great.

Great protection
Works great for additional protection. Easily installs to attach to shoulder pads. It even came in our sons school color (dark green). Highly recommend!

Protection that was very much needed! One week I kept getting people falling on my back, and the impact being centered on the point of impact. This product spreads the impact throughout the area of the plate, and makes a world of difference.

Just as advertised
Very simple product so not much can go wrong. It attached to my sons pads with ease and it very well contructed as with most Schutt products. He is the fullback on his varsity team and said after first game with this backplate attached that he felt less of the shots to his back.
