Coghlan's Bowl of Bear Bells (Pack of 20)

Between hiking, skiing, and walking dogs, we seem to go thru a lot of bells. Buying in bulk has definitely paid off.

Coghlan makes excellent bear bells. I bought this jar and give the bells to friends and visitors when we go hiking in the woods here where we have our share of black bears.To human ears the sound from these bells is pleasant and doesn't become annoying after a long time. The Velcro strap is long enough to attach around the top of a hiking stick, a backpack, or button hole, or even a dog's collar (but I don't recommend attaching it to clothing because it doesn't hang free and isn't very effective).In bear country sometimes more than a little noise is needed, so when we are hiking or walking the woods with more than one person, we all have a bear bell (sometimes I will attach two bells to a hiking stick). One of us will also carry something like a  Falcon Safety Super Sound Horn  which is a pretty good deterrent if a bear gets too curious.

Bought to share with my search and rescue teammates for their area search dogs. Sadly doesn't last at all if your dog goes through the woods (as they do). Flies off at first snag or dog roll. Disappointing that the manufacturer cannot seal the bell to the velcro a bit better as compared to this flimsy attachment. Going with hobby bells on an o ring purchased at Michaels

We were purchasing the same bear bells through a distributor at a higher cost that this bulk amount. Our customers are buying them quickly and sometimes two at a time as the bears are out in abundance in our area right now.Good quality product with a silencer magnet. Haven't had any quality problems since purchased.
