Still studying and find it waaaay much easier to retain the information. I used other resources in the past but this time, based on the clear and precise information I am getting, I am sure I will definitely succeed! I learned from the Secret Keys provided, followed the instructions and there!!! I am so happy I purchased this! DO recommend!!

I bought this product to help me prepare for my Art Praxis.I LOVE this book and would 100% recommend this to anyone that is studying for this exam. This product gives you 5 keys in preparing to take an exam, a wide range of art material that the book goes in detail with, a practice test with explained answers, photos of art, and tips on overcoming test anxiety.This book is also a reasonable size, only 180 pages! This book thoroughly covers material and goes straight to the point.10/10 for any art education major. A must have!

TLDR; General study tips are helpful, but timeline is screwed up and you are better off studying from another source and just using this for review.First off, this is a book published in the 21st century that references works of art, but shows them in black and white. That makes no sense when someone is trying to study without having the distraction of the internet. Anyone who uses this book should look up the images on Google to see them the way they should be represented and to fully understand lighting and color, which defeats the purpose of getting a book to study so you are not looking online through the mountain of available information.Second, there is little reason behind the order in which topics are addressed. If I did not already have a background in Art and Art History, the timeline as it is presented in this book would be incredibly confusing. While I understand the praxis is meant to test what you already know, I feel bad for anyone who is not as well versed in the topics and order they occurred in history already. There is also no separation of chapters, themes or topics or any kind of table of contents.Third, there is outdated language like he use of BC and AD which is no longer taught in academic Art History classes since they focus on one religion and art history encompasses many. However that may be due to outdated wording by the creators of the praxis and not mometrix's fault.Lastly, the study tips for general success with tests and practicing was helpful or I would have rated lower.

It's a lot of info summarized and crammed into one book with a few practice tests/questions. I skimmed through most of it before the test and managed to pass. Before ordering I have attempted to take the test twice and failed both times. It helped me get organized with what I needed to work on but in the end I'd have to say that this book is a very "okay" resource for the price. Good Luck to anyone else who is looking to take this test!

So I got this as a companion to study for the art content knowledge praxis along with practice tests. I passed so no complaints here lol. I took notes of my readings then made a quizlet and used others as well.

This was recommended to me by an art teacher. It is super thorough. Yet not too lengthy and covers all the basis for the exam.

I have looked over this book and I am excited to get started studying. I like a book form rather than internet because I will study this whole book before I take my test. The internet has too many distractions. I will be more successful and I will know that I am ready after studying this book.

great resource for studying!! Passed on the first try, I used the practice exams in the back of the book as well as the informational sections to study from. (For those who need extra support, I also recommend quizlet flash cards ;)
