Birdie Talking Alarm Clock II 5"

My daughter wanted an alarm clock. I wanted her to have a face clock with hands rather than digital because she needs to know how to tell time "the right way". We decided on this clock. The first morning she used it she woke up, turned it off (no snooze) and got up! No grumpiness or being carried into the kitchen with sleepy eyes! She gets up with it every school day and it makes things SOOOO much easier! It is a little harder to set -- I had it set for way too late the very first morning so it wasn't going off so set it right and it goes off perfectly every morning! She loves to make sure it's turned on every night at bedtime. When we hear the tweet tweet, we know she will be out for breakfast soon!

I was looking for a simple alarm clock for my daughter who is about to start Kindergarten. I remember having an alarm clock when I was very young and I loved it. While there are all types of fancy alarm clocks out there that have lights and projection, I just wanted something basic. She loves the bright colors on the clock and the "tweet, tweet, tweet" alarm. There are no instructions because you don't need them. You turn one dial on the back to set the clock time, you turn another dial on the back to set the alarm time, and you slide a switch to the on position to activate the alarm.This alarm is loud. My husband does not like the volume, but I do. I can hear the alarm from other rooms in the house so I know when to go in and help with the wake up process. If your child is very sensitive to noise, this may not be the best choice. To turn the alarm off you must use the switch on the back. Young children may not be able to do this by themselves, which is nice. I don't have to worry about building a "snooze" habit at the age of 5!The only problem I have had is that the alarm time is difficult to set. If you want the alarm to wake your child up at the top of the hour, no problem. However, if you want the alarm to wake your child up on the quarter or half hour, that is more difficult to set and it took a few days of experimentation.

Attractive, sweet wake up sound, but broke irreparably after about 8 months. Had to chuck it. Would not recommend, poor quality

A wonderful alarm clock with a chirping bird to wake you up. We have the frog one already and knew these are great quality!

GRANDAUGHTER IS 7 LOVES IT EASY FOR HER TO USE , SHE LOVES BIRDS AND JUST THINKS THIS CLOCK IS GREAT

This is to be a gift for our 2 year old granddaughter as suggested by her Mom. It arrived & looks cute enough but the push button to hear sound produced nothing. Also, 2 toy bird replicas in the same order are to produce sound but did not do so. I sure hope it was due to "pilot error" on Grandma's part & not3 items the'll have to return & reorder. I had to wrap & ship them which will leave the Mom & Dad to deal with the sound issues.
