These ferrules are well made but no indication is given about the size of stick they are intended for. Unfortunately they simply dropped off my stick as they were too wide. I had assumed they would grip small sticks naturally and then be flexible enough to grip on to larger sticks.

Walking stick ends should have a metal plate to stop the stick from puncturing through the rubber and also to allow better transfer of weight through the stick unfortunately these are just rubber caps.

Refurbishing an antique walking stick, the ferrule was intended to complete the project.With surprise, I found that a twist would reveal a hidden whip. Supposedly in the days of horses everywhere it should not have been a surprise.In the present day the uses may be more sinister !

I bought these as feet for my La Plancha (Paella/griddle) gas burner which had open pipe legs. These fitted perfectly and stop them getting filled with soil or putting pressure on the tent groundsheet.

I got these for an old man because he had lost the one he had on his stick he is more than pleased with them and so happy with the price
