Callaham Vintage T Model Tele Bridge Assembly w/3 Brass Slant Compensated Saddles

An Improvement But Not Quite Tele Nirvana
This is a high quality item for sure, and the fit and finish are much better than the stock Fender item. The two extra screws on the front side of the bridge are a good idea for more securely anchoring the bridge to the body to get better sustain and tone transmission, but it was a terrible idea to use rounded screws that protrude out as they are an irritant (and potential nail-breaker) when you are finger picking. Callaham should bevel the screw holes and use flathead screws so that the bridge plate has no bumps or obstacles. I ended up removing the one screw on the high E string side of the bridge. I didn't have the best of luck achieving perfect intonation from the slanted bridge pieces, and ended up returning to the stock Tele bridge pieces on this bridge plate. The result is a slightly more robust tone, especially on the bass frequencies, but nothing dramatic.
