EcoQuest EcoBox Alpine FreshAir Box Living Fresh Air Purifier

When my original, 1995 XL 15 purifier gave up the ghost i naturally turned to Amazon and EcoQuest for a replacement. I saw that this product was a newer design, met the criteria we were looking for and decided it was the item we wanted. Further, it is a newer model, touts better technology, clean air, negative ions etc... When we received the item i was struck by the light weight construction, despite it having a 1,500 sq ft range. We plugged it and for two days no difference in the air. Cooking odors were not even touched, unlike our original XL-15.The seller contacted me today by phone and explained that the unit I purchased was for smaller spaces and not as powerful. We have reached an amicable agreement and I will be upgrading to the XL-15

The GoodThe unit is compact and attractive.The BadThe product produces Ozone, I discovered this after I wrote to the company about the nasty smell coming from the unit. During the email conversation, I was told that I should have done more research prior to purchasing the product and that they didn't have a comprehensive return policy.If I'd known that the product produced Ozone, I wouldn't have purchased it. Nor, would I have purchased a product without a comprehensive return policy.Improvements needed.The company needs to update their description of the product to make it clear that it products Ozone and they need to be clear about their return policy.
