Oil Drain Plug ~ TOOL ~ New INVENTION Do you hate the mess created when changing your oil? We all want a cleaner oil change.NEVER BEFORE could you DRAIN YOUR OIL so easily!Until now! Introducing the No Mess Drain Plug - a newly invented tool specifically designed to get the oil OUT with NO MESS and NO OTHER TOOL! Stop making a mess and enjoy the savings even more. Once the No Mess Drain Plug is installed, you NEVER remove it again. Just turn it on and off when needed. HOW DOES IT WORK?Simple assembly, ONE-TIME install, now you just remove the safety pin and turn it on with your fingers. If you want to control the oil flow, use the inlcude hose to ensure you ALWAYS hit the drain pan. No more stripped threads, no more tools. What's Included:1. Drain plug and 5 sized adapters2. Hose - we include 1' of 3/8" ID hose.2. Oring - we include the oring to be used between the adapter and the drain plug for assembly.NOTE: YOU WILL NEED OEM Washer/OringRECOMMENDATIONSWe highly recommend you also use an oil extractor pump during the oil extraction process. Using a pump will evacuate the oil out of the sump faster than gravity alone. It will also eliminate most or all potential oil spills. We have found that gravity works OK but using a 12 VDC oil extractor pump works much better and also extracts the oil extremely fast!STRIPPED BOLT or PAN?No problem for most. If you have a m12 or 1/2" drain plug, you can just use the m14 adapter included as an oversized drain plug. Fix that mistake for good and never worry about it again. Great Product
I ordered this product because I always change my oil myself, and the worst part about changing the oil on my 2013 Accord V6 is removing the drain plug (even worse though is doing this on my wifes 2011 VW TIguan!).My car was due for an oil change and I figured I would give this product a shot because it came with all the adapters for most of the popular makes and models of vehicles. When I received the product I was pleasantly surprised to see an all metal design. The only part which is not metal is the plastic thumb screw that locks the drain plug in place once you have closed it. I am assuming that is made of Delrin possibly. The product also came with a short length of hose 1' long to be exact for use with their no mess design in directing oil into your oil bucket. The hose itself is a standard 3/8" ID (inner diameter) that can be purchased or replaced with any length from any home improvement store. Now i have not had a chance to use this product to drain my oil yet, but I will definitely be updating my review once this is complete. A couple of things that are worth mentioning is that there is a very nice positive click when you open or close the drain plug. And the drain plug itself looks to be held together with a large circlip so it potentially is user serviceable if it ever were to leak. This was confirmed when emailing the manufacturer, that although the product should never leak removing the circlip there are o-rings that could potentially be replaced.I am not sure what kind of warranty the manufacture provides for this drain plug, but I will update my review if I find out No Mess Products warranty period. Update: After contacting the manufacturer the product comes with a lifetime warranty, and I am pleased to say that even though I emailed on a Sunday morning I still received a response same day, and this was no boiler plate response. The response actually answered all of my questions and provided me with a better understanding of the product. The gentlemen who emailed me was named Daniel and he was very nice, thorough, and informative. Thanks!Update: 11/20/16Created a short clip of how this product works. One thing I would like to point out about this product as an advantage over other products is that this comes with adapter for many different types of cars, so if you sell your car you can pull this off put the stock drain plug in and use this product on your new vehicle.

I liked it so much I got the full product line from them.
I bought the No Mess Drain Plug for my 69 Chevelle. Being a muscle car I am very anal about the oil changes, what products I use on and in my car. Saying that this product is at home on my ride, It makes changing my oil faster and cleaner. I liked it so much I got the full product line from them.Amazing products. I'm really impressed by this one in particular. Its a solid design and not only feels heavy duty, it is heavy duty. The packaging is very nice, instructions were clear and easy to follow. well, they would have been if I wasn't so excited to install it and looked at them first. lol. but seriously. When I opened the package I found 5 different adapters, the main plug and a hose. I easily found the one for my oil pan, which is a 454 I might add, Vroom.I had it installed in about 30 seconds, no lie. I made a quick video because I really thought it was cool the way it works, You can even hear the click as it locks in the closed position. Everything fit nice and like advertised. It didn't leak. To drain the oil you simply remove the little plug screw, put the hose on and turn.... that's it, no tools, no having hot or even cold oil going down your arm. I'm very handy and used to pride myself on the next to near perfect oil change because I could remove the plug with minimal oil getting on me, however I still got it on me. NOT ANYMORE... thanks to this product I can now change my oil with out one single drop of oil going anywhere except the recycling container.Great job Sir, I give you two thumbs up....You might wonder why I would take the time to rite a long winded review for them, its because I rely on reviews to make my purchases and the products I love the most are the ones where folks just like me liked it enough to be this detailed in their review so I'm just returning the favor.Buy this drain plug, you wont be disappointed, then you'll buy the rest of their oil changing products like I did.... lol.Cheers.

Leaks like a slow sieve
It's really a shame that this product caused oil to leak out of my pan. Not a massive leak, but a slow and steady one. The device is sturdy and does work (I had to drain the oil before I could replace this plug with an OEM plug), but I think the threading around the bolt is not aggressive enough to prevent oil from slipping in-between the threading. The bolt did technically fit my oil pan, but you can easily see that the bolt threading isn't as robust as the OEM plug.

Great invention!
Was not sure about this "invention" as I could just picture driving down the road spilling oil everywhere but it has performed fantastic and I am very pleased. It is a high quality finely machined product that performs exactly as advertised. It was very easy to install and though I closed examined how it worked before installing it I have not as yet used it to actually drain any oil, however I'm sure it will work great. I highly recommend it for the DIYer!

work on my 2004 sienna
i just installed it and seems to work good. easy system to close and open the drain plug. Eventhough the original O ring or washer is suggested to be installed due that the O rings that come with the kit are not tested, i could not use mine because the hex nut on the plug itself is to thin and my original washer is bend at the edges leaving me no room to catch it with a wrenge, so i hope their O ring holds up.

Works as intended. I own a Honda CR-Z and it works great. I actually should have bought this a years ago but didn't know about it. I do have a splash Shield that covers the undercarriage of the hybrid I own which makes changing the oil a pain. I might make a trapdoor which opens around the area of the oil drain plug. I believe this drain plug is worth it.
