AWESOME
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY OBVIOUSLY HIRES UNINITIATED REVIEWERS WHO ARE CLOSE MINDED, DUALISTIC AND MATERIALISTIC IN THEIR THINKING and who havn't a clue as to what they are reading when it comes to spiritual matters, for those without ears to hear will not hear. This is a fantastic book written by a fantastic teacher of a very relevant technique for transcending the dualistic materialist view of life and the universe. Achieving the guidance of which she speaks is second nature to me and many others and she has only verified for me what i have been doing through the work of Joel Goldsmith, who would probably also be considered disrespectfully by the above reviewer, much like the mystics of the catholic church were unappreciated and silenced, like St. John of the Cross and many others. Was Jesus appreciated in his day by those in power and with no conscious awareness of his level of attainment? No, obviously not, and this practice continues on now by so called critics, reviewers, church leaders and others who , for the most part, are more interested in their own base of power and reputation in circles of small minded materialist bottom feeders, than they are in the truth, which will set one free. Embrace this book with an open mind and you will see how God can free you from the illusions of the mind that the great spiritual leaders of history all taught were possible to transcend. This author's work is a true breakthrough in consciousness!

Interesting book for New agers, Hindus & people into the occult.
It's an interesting book if your into New Age and the Occult. But as a Christian I could only use her prayers if I redo thempraying to Jesus. Other stuff like using divining rods is similar to usinga Ouija board which is all occultic and forbidden to dabble in in Christianity.

My first book of this kind
It took me 5 years to write this review because the space is too small for such a great book.I bought this book when I was in University in 2005. I started reading it daily and in a week I finished. I had that feeling I didn't put too much focus and I read it again. Now with a highlighter. I ended with a book with some paragraphs highlighted in green. After awhile I read it again and the paragraphs were highlighted with different color.Today, after almost 5 years the book is painted in green, yellow, red and other colors and I feel like shouldn't highlight at all. The whole book is motivational. The whole book is inspirational. In a noisy daily life this book is like a lantern which light the path for inner me. I learned how to meditate and this book was one of my first books which help to enlight me.I recommend the book for everyone, meditators or not, believers or not. As physicist I found connections I didn't know and I couldn't believe they can exist. As meditator I found the book as a companion... a trusted one. This book will help you to heal the soul, that soul we don't care in this world.Thank you Susan for this book and for all wisdom words you put in everything.

Great Book
Although I do not necessarily agree with everything the author presents in her book, I love it. After more than 20 years on a spiritual journey myself, I found the writing to resonate with me at this time. In my perception, she offers a cross of guided hynosis/meditation incorporated with the idea of still meditation; waiting to hear what spirit has to say. After all my seeking that is what I have come to find...we all have a connection with Spirit and we spend so much time seeking outside of ourselves. If we allow ourselves to be still enough we can make a connection, where life will never be the same. She also writes beautifully, it is evident that her experience with Spirit shows through her writing.

Awesome - Must Read
In the world of Meditation, the right way to do it is more important than merely sitting and closing the eyes and quieting the mind. This books talks about it and much more beyond. One of the main point in life is to make correct decisions. But decisions need to be organic. They need to be made by you. Not by someone else. Even sometimes our own thinking is so limited, it deceives ourselves and we end up making wrong decisions in life. This is the first book I read that covers how to meditate correctly and unveil that inner revelation which is indeed Divine Revelation.

Miss Leading book and narrow views unless she says so.
I bought this book because of all the other positive things said in other comments. I was soon disillusioned. She starts out well and then she starts quoting the bible and verses are liberally sprinkled thought out the book which if I wanted to read that I would have, so it was kind of sneaky. Then she starts bashing people who have beliefs in Channeling, psychics, medium-ship and so on unless it is her stuff she is touting. Very narrow minded. Then she gives you a list of nine tests for knowing if something is God like. When it got to all of this all I felt was fear and is that God like? Not really. I have met people who channel, are mediums and so on and some are the real deal and some are not but her test would not tell you that. I felt that the book was all about her religious ways of seeing things and her methods that were right and everyone else was wrong. By the way I only bought the book cause I happened to buy her other book about Miracle Prayers and it starts out saying you need to read this one. More money or what? I wonder. I have to say I was not happy about this and will not even read the second book even though I own the thing.

An Open Door to Divine Connection for Practical Growth
Dr. Susan's foundation book on connecting with your GodSource within gives all information essential to making and understanding that vital connection for accomplishing one's purpose in life. Using these principles regularly has helped me grow spirituallly and practically. Susan's approach, as guided by Spirit, is always practical and useful in outlook (never merely theoretical; never incomprehensibly esoteric). Divine Revelation marks in print the start of a new era of practical sprituality for accomplishing one's most cherished goals and desires.

Great book but I never felt ready to start on my meditation
This is a wonderful book packed with information about how to contact God, or the Divine, and get answers to any questions you might want to ask. However, I kept reading and reading, waiting to get to the point where the author informed me that now I had all the information I required, and could begin to use her techniques. Eventually, I'd got to the end of the book without ever having begun to meditate, and still didn't know how to get started. Perhaps part of the problem was that I was reading the book late at night and was too tired to take everything in. Anyway, I'm now going to return my library copy, purchase the book and hope that when I read it again this time I'll find a place in it telling me how and when to start. I'm hoping so.Susan Shumsky has meditated and worked with her spirituality for many, many years, and tells us that she was not born with special spiritual powers but that she has obtained her results through hard work and perseverance. So we all have the possibility of achieving a clear inner contact to our inner teachers and receive answers from them. Divine Revelation meditation is a special technique that the author has developed. It is "a simple, effective way to directly communicate with God".We are taught how to connect with the personal aspect of God. Shumsky states that "enlightenment" is a myth, and that we are already enlightened. (Isn't this a contradiction in terms?)One chapter discusses the various levels of our being, ranging from "environment" (I didn't really understand how this comprises part of our body, as the author states) through the various aspects of mind, the various aspects of spirit (Christ Self, "I AM" Self, God Self, Cosmic Self) and, finally, absolute pure consciousness. There are chapters on "ways to have a spiritual breakthrough", "meditating your way to the spirit", "fine-tuning your meditation practice", "Seven basic methods of spiritual healing", and so on.The latter chapter includes several useful prayers, including for protection, thought-form healing, psychic-tie-cut-healing, astral entity healing, "past-life-mental-body healing" (for healing memories from past lives, for example) and "façade-body-healing" (for healing facades or masks that cover up your true self). I found these prayers to be some of the most useful features of the book, since they had a practical application, and could be used immediately. For example, the Psychic-Tie-cut-healing:"I call upon (divine teacher) to cut any and all psychic ties between (person) and (thing, person, etc.). These psychic ties are now lovingly cut, lifted, loved, healed, released, and let go into the light of love and truth. Thank you God and SO IT IS."A useful chapter is one containing "Nine tests to prevent psychic deception". These tests can be used to test your inner messages. This chapter is important, as obviously you need to be able clearly to distinguish the voice of God from the voices of negative, astral entities. However, to begin with at least, the whole process of meditating, healing what needed to be healed, and carrying out the nine tests, seemed to be immensely complicated, and I would have had difficulty in remembering the details of the process without continually having to open my eyes and consult the book. When asking questions, we are advised to avoid predictive questions, ask only questions that assume freedom of choice, ask for "highest wisdom" rather than "shoulds", ask for divine guidance, ask clear and simple questions and only one question at a time. There is a chapter on the "twelve ways to receive inner revelation" and one on the "nine ecstatic expressions of God"A final chapter provides examples of inspiring spiritual experiences described by various of Shumsky's Divine Revelation students.A valuable glossary is supplied at the end of the book (something I miss in most other books containing specialized information).Shumsky states that most benefit is obtained by those who participate in her "breakthrough intensives" and other Divine Revelation classes. But I find the book to be a valuable introduction to contacting Spirit, as long as you are committed to doing the work. However, as indicated above, the book is so packed with concise information that I found it difficult to get a clear overview of what to do, when to do it, and so on. You will probably need to read the book several times, and of course find a way to get started on your daily meditation practice.I would recommend this book to those committed to doing the work. Though I think I myself will now look into her book "How to hear the voice of God" which includes a CD, which would probably be helpful to get me started on the meditation, since I don't have the means or opportunity to participate in one of Shumsky's courses/classes.

... but can already tell that this book is utterly amazing. The explanations are truly out of this world
Only up to about 1/3 the way through but can already tell that this book is utterly amazing. The explanations are truly out of this world. I'm sorry, I don't have the words to describe why this book is so good, I just know it is. Perfect divine timing for me this one :)

Like all of Susan Shumsky's books, Divine Revelation is incredibly powerful. It's all you need to learn how to meditate, go within and learn to listen to the still small voice that's inside you.Combine it with Instant Healing, also written by Susan Shumsky, and change your life!

THE book for anyone who wants to know the truth
I buy psychic/spiritual books by the score, study on the www, attend lectures/talks, listen most days to on-line webinars - NOT ANYMORE. This book is all anyone needs to expand their awareness, develop their "real" psychic abilities and enhance their spirituality - its got the lot covered beautifully. For a learner or a new person to this field of life, this is perfect. I have been teaching awareness & helping people (or so I thought) to expand their psychic abilities for something like 11 years now in Spiritualist Churches, after the revelations in this book I had to go back to the hundreds of people I have "instructed" and say "er, I got it wrong". I upset a number of people at a lecture I recently delivered, they were mostly ex-students of mine (who loved the talk) and spiritual church leaders - working psychics - psychic teachers, oh yes! did they get hot under the collar. I announced from the front of the hall that what we all believe in is dross & that we have got it wrong, seriously wrong. I told them that every time they work "opening people to spirit" that they were endangering those people through their ignorance & usage of out dated practices, which went down like the proverbial lead balloon. If you REALLY want your eyes opening, this is the book to do it & Susan Shumsky is the person you need to listen to. Search her out on the Internet & learn more about her (no, I'm not her publicist!!and I have never met her). If you consider yourself a true seeker of the truth, look no further than this book.I would give this book ten stars and say to everyone - just get it & learn the truth, learn that we are living in the past and clinging to false principles that are leading people astray & into potential dangerous situations. I will not be buying any more "spiritual" books, this is all I or anyone need

A useful tool - when you are ready
I was excited to read this book. I have wanted to gain an openness to hearing for such a long time and was therefore eager to set out on my new learning journey. However, and it is a big however, there are more issues acting as a block to this most natural process than we imagine. In fact, not having reached that wonderful stage I had hoped with this book I ordered Susan's other book How to Hear the Voice of God. In my opinion, much of what is in this book is very similar, if not the same, as in How to Hear... The only reason I bought that one was to use the accompanying c.d. that promised to 'get me there'.This is a good, informative, book. However, so long as many of us hold onto negative and limiting beliefs - not only that 'we can't do this', but also numerous others - a great proportion of us will find it difficult to gain an end result we would like. I would suggest this book is good as it offers the 'potential' for change. There may be very many who find what they seek through it, although just as many, like me, that need first to deal with many stored beliefs prior to moving on to open themselves to be in a position to hear. This isn't very helpful, although it is not meant to criticise in any way. Simply because it did not offer me what I was seeking is no reason to assume it won't for another. By and large it is extremely readable and offers many helpful pointers and direct advice which anyone on the spiritual path will find valuable.
