A favorite book
Beautiful pictures of quite a variety of shapes (even a trapezoid) found in nature. It is a favorite book of my 9-month-old granddaughter to look at by herself and also for her adult caregivers to read to her. She is at the age where we only read the shape and the animal name (and for the square crab, that it is at the beach since she has been to a beach), and we might have trouble getting that in sometimes when she is already turning the page. So the book will take on an added dimension when she is older and enjoys the few facts that accompany the picture. On the left page is a black silhouette of the shape being featured and the rest of the 2 pages show the animal clearly demonstrating that shape. Currently my granddaughter seems most interested in a crisscross of flamingos on a lake taken at a distance perhaps because it is so different from the pink bird in another book.

WONDERFUL books - a must have
I am a Kinder teacher so I am very picky about books I purchase. This is a wonderful book for little ones. One beautiful photo per page turn is PERFECT for them to learn their shapes. We have all the "Picture This" books. They are amazing and my son loves them.

Interesting photos to grasp my baby's attention
Great photos to point out basic shapes to my baby, but I can see her also growing into this book and learning more about the details and fun facts as she gets older.

Children love the pictures.
Pictures are real, colorful and book covers many shapes. Names of shapes familiar, not geometric. Shapes similar, not exact.

I love this book
I love this book. It has great pictures and way more shape than I expected (dot, line, curve, etc.) My son love this book (1yo). I have one problem with this book: round is not a shape! Shapes are nouns, round is an adjective describing a circle, which is a shape. It irks me more than I thought it would and I change the word when reading this.
