The one Invicta everyone loves.
Based on a famous watch brand and one of their creations in 1953, this homage is as close as it gets. Now the all black version is Invicta's own idea and a matter of taste. I specifically searched for this model - I have a soft spot for all black. The Seiko NH35 movement proves to be very accurate at +2 seconds a day. While the movement supports a date function, there's no date window on the dial - something else I was looking for. This resulted in a beautiful clean dial. Lume isn't great, but above average. The low price is almost ridiculous. You'll love it.

Looks like a Rolex and runs like one too
This watch looks amazing! I was debating on getting the stainless steel version or the black version and now having the black version I'm glad I went with this one. So far I have had this watch for a couple days and the accuracy has been amazing. It's running -1.5 seconds a day. That's amazing for this price. My only complaint would be the lume. It only lasts for a little bit and definitely does not last through the night but in low light conditions it is still easy to read so I'm ok with that, it's only when you're in total darkness for a while that you will not be able to read this watch.Overall amazing watch. I also like that it doesn't have the Invicta engraving on the side. It never really bothered me but I'm glad this one doesn't have it.

Has become my favorite daily wear wristwatch
I have easily a dozen watches, but this black 1953 series Invicta has barely been off my wrist since the day I got it. Very nice weight with a comfortable and simple to operate closure. Removing links so it fit me perfectly was an easy task. The black material is extremely tough and does not scuff or scratch. The perpetual action will run down after a few days if the watch sits motionless. But I like it so much that is hardly a problem. I rarely take it off, usually just to shower or for a particularly messy task. I’m dinging it one star only because it runs just the slightest bit slow, losing about a minute every four days or so. Easy enough to set it forward occasionally and hardly worth the effort or cost to have a watch tech open it up and adjust.

Really killer watch!
Aw man... What can I say about this watch. Its looks and wears great! This is my fifth Invicta automatic and they are all great watches. Some people say they are overhyped, that they are just a cheap watch dressed up to appear to be more valuable. But they are still worth every penny. All four of my other Invictas are at least a couple of years old, and other than wear marks they still function and look great. I also own two Seiko automatics. Ones a Prospex and the other a 5. The 5 being closer to the Invictas in quality and price. Yet where the Invictas are working fine, the 5 has gotten noisy. Something rubs on the pendulum. It still works fine. But I would rate the Invictas as a better value for the money. Considering the Prospex models run 3 to 6 times the price of an Invicta. Granted they are not really a watch that holds value like a Rolex. But an Invicta wont put a dent in your pocket like a Rolex and I often get many compliments on my Invictas. And Im sure to get many on this one considering how awesome it looks. Will have to see how the color holds. That said Id buy it again and might have to keep an eye out for the silver one.

Simple looking timepiece
I have several Invicta watches and majority of them are automatic which I prefer that way you don't have to replace battery. I like this one because it's simple looking. Most definitely worth the price!

Surprisingly really good bezel!!
Watch is amazing!! This is not my first Invicta watch (got rid of the first one) but definitely the invicta watch I plan to keep. Easy to read dial! Lumen is not the greatest, actually really poor lumen but ehhh I can deal with that. Easy to adjust with a screw down crown. And the bezel oh my!! It is beautiful!! And a perfectly in tact unidirectional bezel! I have read other reviews stating that their bezel would not properly align with the dial and excessive play was felt on the bezel. But in my case I guess I got lucky and my watch bezel aligns perfect and no bezel play found. I probably won’t buy another Invicta as I am honestly not a fan of their design or dial sizes. But this 1953 automatic edition is so badass!!
