right off the go here i'm mention something that had me so mad i was red in the face. pulled the sheath/knife out the bag, pull knife out the sheath and it looked like someone rubbed the blade in poop, trust me it looked disgusting. while cleaning the blade my index finger slipped over the cutting edge damn near cut my finger to the fingernail, i'm not happy about that and it ended up taking a dremel with a buffing pad clean it up. i've read alot of reviews saying the sheath is anywhere from horrific or mediocre, and mine falls between the two. one other thing that be considered bad, the forward finger choil is very shallow and during rough use if you're not careful you could have a nasty accident, scales will likely negate this by increasing overall grip.now for the up side, the cutting edge is insanely sharp, with a bit of work and quite a bit of blood my secondary edge is polished out. the 154cm is great steel for price of this knife, it's fair step up from aus8 and 8cr13mov steels you find in alot of knives around with same price range (i paid $60 usd). i was iffy about buying a fixed blade with no scales being i have larger than average hands but right now as is the skeletonized handle isn't terrible and seats a 4 finger grip pretty good, but i plan on doing custom scales for the handle.is this fixed blade worth the money? yes, every red cent worth. i hope this short reviews helped anyone thinking about a purchase of this blackjack knife. and for anyone who plans on buying it, careful, she'll cut ya!update: reason the sheath sucks is because it's only molded on one side and guess they do that to make it lay flat against the chest. you'll need to make your own kydex sheath or have one made, they will likely suck because the way they're formed.convex bevel on the cutting edge, DO NOT sharpen this knife with pull through sharpener. if you are really good on whetstones you can sharpen it that way. the best way for an average joe is to get some sandpaper and lay it on a mouse pad and do it like you would on a stone, just google mousepad convex sharpening and you'll get all the useful stuff like grit and so on. convex grind IMO makes for the best cutting edge possible on your user knives so do everything you can to maintain the convex grind. you strop this knife on some high grit sandpaper every couple days depending on use it'll keep a keen edge and keep your convex grind.i really truly believe i'll never have to buy another fixed blade again for a user knife ever again, i think anyone else that decides to purchase this blackjack necker will feel the same.
