A gem you shouldn't miss.
Normally I wouldn't write bleow a purchased good, however this is a purchased gem.I love the whole package. The story is, as far as for book 1, unique. There is no unnecessary waste to boobs or abs, as there is a real story to hook you on. There is no obvious outcome and with every page you learn more about a new realm that is worth to be explored. The art is nice and I can only say that it appeals to my eye.The demon king may be op, however he is also a total noob at how to convey feelings. He is a toddler, so to speak of .So if you are questioning, if you should buy this gem or not, just try it.I am actually really sad that the next book will be published in August and not sooner, but it can't be helped. If you want to invest the money into a new Manga, try this one.

Different to both anime and light novel
If you purchased this expecting to see an exact clone of either the light novel or the anime, think again. While different to both other mediums, it's still an entertaining read, and I was pretty happy to see that Square Enix picked this up for English release. While this follows the standard "overpowered MC" trope, I found I rather enjoyed this series as despite this and I think they have written Anos well. The story follows the demon king Anos Voldigoad, and the deal that he made with the human hero, Kanon. In their time, their races, both demons and humans had been at constant war, and to end it, Anos opts to sacrifice his life. After two thousand years, he reincarnates, not as a pure blooded demon, but rather a hybrid, with a very supporting demon father and human mother. I found the interactions between Anos and his family very endearing, and you can really see how much he enjoys his new life. Even with the power of being a Demon King, he enrols at the Demon King academy, and because his magic is too big to be measured, he ends up being labelled as a misfit. The story follows his journey through school, as he works to raise the profile of hybrids and encouraging harmony between the demon and human race. Manga artist Kayaharuka does really well in capturing each of the characters emotions in this series, and while it is light hearted for the most part, it does touch on a few dark topics such as prejudice and xenophobia.A really enjoyable read, it's just a bit unfortunate that the manga series will not be completed as the artist sadly passed away. I am hopeful though that Square Enix is able to work with the Light Novel author and find a way to continue the manga as the novel itself is ongoing.

Better than anime
The only thing which is worth purchasing this book is that u will get to know about Anos childhood story and if u already watched the anime then it will be boring to read. So if u haven't watched the anime, go for it. I gave four stars cause I already watched the anime and I knew what will happen. I just liked the sketches and there is a little bit of plot twist in the story line which was not there in the anime. I won't spoil but the plot twist is at the entrance exam. Hope u have fun reading this
