A must-have addition for professional painting
If you are looking to get the best possible results from your airless sprayer, this is a must. This valve will virtually eliminate "spitting" from the gun. This valve requires the proper setup, matching the pressure of the sprayer to the shut-off pressure of the valve. Couple that with a good tip for the job, spraying is virtually flawless. This valve also gives you the ability to easily pivot (angle) the spray head. This valve is a little expensive, but it does come with a RAC X Base and a tip, so the value is pretty decent. It is made by Graco and has the same quality as you would expect.A few tips for those with less experience painting:-Use the right spray tip for what you spraying.-Match your gun filter to the spray tip.-Start at a lower pressure and work up slowly to eliminate spray "tails" (this will also extend the life of the tip)-Lower the shut-off pressure of this valve until it just barely activates when spraying-Clean off the tip occasionally while spraying with a rag

A must have!
After having the airless sprayer spit, I did some research and came across the Graco CleanShot. While it is expensive, it is worth it. I used this with the RACX FFLP 310 tip: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06X3QYS2V?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details to spray some shaker cabinet doors I made. No spitting! Make sure the tip is securely fastened and test spray to confirm it is seated. The door and drawer faces turned out perfectly. I have an off brand airless sprayer and this tip fits any 7/8" spray head. I wish I would have found this sooner!

Rafters
It worked well when we were painting the rafters. We did not have to stand under the spraying, and we could do it at an angle. It was a good addition to the machine.

no spits
i use this with a 18-24" extension, no spitting! only negative is it is a little heavy so fatigue can be an issue on big jobs overhead. but the positive is no spits at the end of your stroke.

Kicks back, not for one handed use.
I agree with everyone's comments about how great this is. That being said, it kicks pretty hard on an extension when it's pivoted at a 90° angle. My plan was to have my shield on an extension pole in one hand and my spray gun with 30 inch extension in the other hand so I could walk along the house painting gutters with no ladder. The only unexpected problem was this has such explosive power when it does engage it blows back the spray tip a good 12 inches so you end up spraying all over the place uncontrolled. Better to have a helper use the shield while you use two hands- one on the trigger and one guiding the extension/spray tip. Other than that, it worked amazingly well and I was totally satisfied. Saves me a ton of time and energy not moving and climbing ladders. Also someone commented it leaked paint all over the place... I had this same problem and had to use a wrench to get it really tight, then it stopped leaking.

Doesn't work
I purchased this in April of 2023. I didn't attempt to use it until the end of May, so I missed my return window. While hooked up to my Graco airless sprayer it wouldn't spray at the normal spray pressure setting, so I cranked it up, still.. nothing. I took it, my extension, the handle and filter apart to troubleshoot. It ended up the Cleanshot was the culprit. I attempted to contact product support and they replied one time with a rather condescending reply, "Well, you know it is pressure-activated" and that was it. No response for 5 days since. Terrible product, worse customer service.

A MUST FOR PROFFESIONAL PAINTERS!!!!!
I was skeptical at first about this compressor. I have used many extensions spraying exterior and interior repaints and could never go without spitting. This compressor is a bit heavy on the end of the extensions but eliminates completely any spit from the gun. Leaving a clean fan just as if you were spraying with the gun alone. This little handy tool will save your back from leaning over to hit the bottoms of siding and also from ladder work. You can also spray more depending on the extension that your using. I use a 20 inch extension up to a 70 inch extension and this bad boy fits the bill. I usually do not write reviews but i have watched painters my whole life spray homes with just the gun and it takes a toll after awhile. This will save your back!!!! and your time$$$$ you clean it just as if you would clean a normal tip. The compressor will rotate in any way you would like the fan to go with ease. Hope this helps!
