Wanted a coconut cup to serve a coco-loco cocktail in for a party.The cup is a real coconut shell that has been hollowed, cleaned, flattened in the bottom and lightly sealed on the inside. The walls if the cup were actually quite thin, and the cup seems pretty fragile. I don't think it would hold up to multiple uses and cleanings.Mine came with a slight crack and I saw other reviews mention theirs did too. My crack did not seem to result in a noticable leak so I decided to keep the cup.I wanted the cup as a novelty item to serve my coconut themed cocktail and it worked well for that. The cup held enough liquid and gave a really cute presentation.This cup was one of the only natural coconuts I could find on Amazon, it worked for what I needed it to but was not the best quality and I don't think I'd order again for anything other than novelty.As long as you know it's a single use or limited use item I think you'll be happy with the purchase.

This coconut cup arrived as described. About 18 oz, no cracks, no holes. It was lighter in color and duller than the photos show, so I rubbed it with butcher block quality mineral oil, which made it darker and shinier. I don't know if that will make it last longer, but it certainly looks nicer. I then painted some decorations on the outside using shiny gold acrylic paint and that worked well.

I laugh at myself that I even bought this, thinking for a second that it would be anything of value. It wasn't. Leaked the 2nd time I used it. What a rip-off, and I hope that KARMA bites this shop in the butt for peddling crap like this. Seriously.

Product photo advertised shows a glossy clear coat sealed exterior . Don’t expect that. They are just what appears to be a dry , un sealed sand blasted surface . Lighter in color and just the natural matte coconut material.

Cute and served thier purpose but the label says it's not recommended to be used again which seems odd. I didnt realize I was buying a one use cup.
