Updated my review to a 5 star, number one in my book is customer service, number two quality product. Love, Love this solar light, it is perfect for my back porch step. It is very bright on monition sensor, but perfect lighting if I want to keep it on dim during a party so no one falls.I struggled to get out of box, tape stuck to box. There was no backing on tape, which makes me thinks this was used and returned. The switch will not move, feels super cheap. No directions in box. So will continue review after I get the replacment. Not too happy my replacement cost me more:(.

Defective cover falls off, weak directional sensor
I bought 3 of these despite a few negative reviews. I liked the different settings. However, within 2 days the clear plastic covers fell off of two of them. It appears that when built the adhesive that is supposed to hold the covers on is not well bonded. Appears to be a quality problem. Also, when these are mounted low to the ground the sensor does not pick up beyond 1-2 foot range. I was hoping to mount them on the front surfaces my patio steps but this is not recommended as the sensor points down, not outward. Could have been good, but I returned to amazon.

I put it up to my front garage for 2 ...
I put it up to my front garage for 2 days, I found its screen (the cover plate) came off and laid on ground. It quite very bright but its motion only sense the movements within 1 or 2 meters.

OK but no good at motion detection
The light is bright but the motion sensor isn't that great. If you want it for the always on at night function then it's fine, but I wanted it more as a motion detector.

Great light but some caveats
Overall this is a great item. The one thing that drops it down and big time is the way it is set up to change the different functions.Pros -Bright LightSensitive SensorBroad application areaEasy to put upWe have this set up to light one of our stairways and the sensor picks up a person at the bottom of the stairs and shines the entire stairwayCons-Bigger than expected. I had hoped to place on 4x4 post but it was slightly too big. Other, similar units easily fit. (Yes I should have read the description better....)Functionality Switch - This light has three cool functions and I wanted it on Dim so that it dimly light the area but when it sensed someone it would go to bright light. Due to the way this switch is set up, it would not move from one function to the other. I had to take apart the battery compartment to get to the switch to make it work. Pain in the rear. Luckily I knew exactly what I wanted and won't have to deal with it again.Overall I would buy this again - it is one of the brighter ones I've used. But I would know I would need to be prepared on where to put it and to spend some time getting it to the function I wanted.

Very bright light.
I love this product. I just got a new deck build and wanted to try some solar lightening so I wouldn't have to go through the wiring process as it seemed very difficult. I received the product as described. It was in good condition. I wanted to try it out and install it right away. It is battery operated nd take double a batteries. You have to leave it out in the sun for a while before it takes effect. I was very surprised by how bright it was. Some solar powered lights seem very dull and doesn't shine very bright. I installed this light half way down my stairs so I could see go down them. It shined bright and now my stairs are safe and I'm not afraid of anyone falling. Very excited about it and plan on ordering more. I did receive this product at a discount but I will buy more.
