This Magical Fairy Garden Kit is an awesome start to my fairy garden. I am placing by my pond in a flower pot so I can easily store it in the winter months to ensure lasting color of the hand-painted pieces. Each piece comes with a stem that helps to hold it in the ground. Two of the toadstools are about 2.5-4 inches tall. I can not wait to get more items for my fairy garden to add a bit of whimsy to the pond.I rely very heavily on customer reviews on Amazon when I am making a choice to purchase something. The Eight Piece Magical Fairy Garden Kit (hand painted) set is adorable. It comes with several mushrooms in various sizes, a fairy holding a bird and two small birds attached to each other at the wing. Each of the pieces (except the fairy) has a pick which allows it to securely be placed into the soil or whatever texture is at the base of the fairy garden. These figures have been a lovely addition to our already in progress fairy garden at Grandma's house. It is a lovely activity for Grandparents and Grandchildren to tend to and imagine and play with together. The details on the fairies wings are lovely with each little feather being defined. The mushrooms come in yellow/orange, red, and blue. The little birds are yellow and are just darling. This set would make a good starter set or an excellent addition for someone adding to an established garden. They are quality built and sturdy enough that my little one can handle them without too much worry. I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
