BLO Pro is Perfect! Easy to use, Police grade Breathalyzer
I Purchased the BLO about a year ago and loved it. I noticed it was a little conservative, which isn't a bad thing when detremining if it's safe (legal) to drive. I was stoked to buy a BLO Pro, shipping was quick and easy. As someone who has (unfortunately) blown into several police breathalyzers I can attest that the BLO Pro is the same system with the same if not better accuracy. I am very impressed and highly recommend it. I keep mine in the glove box of my car and think everyone should. The perfect tool to get real time data on your BAC, significantly reducing risk, especially with how much a DUI costs these days, in not only $'s but time, your carreer and future. It's also fun to bust out at a party to test your friends. 10/10

Durable, accurate, and arrives fast
Arrived fast and comes in a durable protective case. Decided to spend a little more on the BLO Pro to get something that would last and this definitely was worth the money. Results seem very accurate (from how I feel hahaha) and the unit itself is sturdy and reliable. will certainly prevent me from making an irreversible mistake when deciding whether or not to drive home after some drinks.

Excellent breathalyzer worth the money
Thrilled with this breathalyzer. If you’re looking for a reliable accurate device that does what it says it will do then look no further. I considered cheaper models out there but am so glad I spent the extra money for something I know works when I need it to. Comes with a professional discrete carrying case and is rechargeable from any USB.

Glad I spent the money!
Great bit of technology that keeps me and others safe! This breathalyzer arrived quickly and is exactly as described. From reading reviews on the cheaper models it sounds like if you want something reliable you’re going to have to pony up for a professional version like this. Can’t argue with the results.

Non functional.
Zero stars. It did not work. So much for clinical accuracy. If this is what the police use, i see a lot of DWI convictions getting tossed.

Safety
I can’t say anything negative about this product. It is simple and easy to use. It comes with multiple replaceable mouthpieces, a sleek inconspicuous carrying case that makes it easy to travel with. This is a great party gag gift as well as a useful tool if you plan to hit the pubs. BLO is a lifesaver and something that should be used at bars on a regular basis to help people make the smart decision and call a ride home.

Full Review - please fully read before you purchase
The experience I have had with this device is not at all good and I personally would not recommendthis to be used as anything other than a gimmick and certainly not to be used for evidence that youare ok to drive after having a drink. The readings are seriously under what they should be. Thisdevice should not be sold in the UK under the current product testing results in my opinion. Below ismy Full Review please do not purchase without fully reading.Firstly finding the correct measurement for the UK.This device does not measure in the UK standard unit of measurement for breath!I looked up the unit of measurement for the regulations pertaining to UK law on alcohol limits. Theunit of measurement is micrograms per 100ml breath (µg/100ml) and milligrams per 100ml or bloodor urine (mg/100ml). After establishing that this breathalyser references in the instructions ablood/urine unit of measurement (mg/100ml) and records in the same measurement (mg/100ml) onthe device my trust in this device was shaken. I did more research into how it could possibly bemeasured in mg/100ml instead of µg/100ml on a device that is designed to measure breath notblood or urine and found out that there is a conversion or blood:breath ratio that exists. But no wayto tell if or which blood:breath ratio the device may or may not be programmed with. This ratio isdifferent depending what country you are in and there is no way to know which ratio this brand usesfor their conversion as it is not stated in the user manual and had no extra advice or information onany website for this brand or model (that could be found by searching logical key words into googlee.g. pro blo breathalyser etc). I instead tried to look up a limits conversion table for the drink drivelimits in the UK that converts µg/100ml into % BAC. % BAC is what this device is set to by default. Ifound this on a reputable website that converted UK drink drive limits into other units. The unit for England and Wales Drink drive limit is 35 µg/100ml which converts to 0.08%BAC.Secondly – Testing the machineI Poured out 6 25ml shots varying in type of spirit and ABV. 5 rums at 37.5% and 1 single malt at46%. I took 1 shot then recorded my results 20 minutes later and replicated. I then upped thevolume of spirit I took for the last test. My plan was to take shots until it recorded me as being overthe drink drive limit and did not expect to get past even 2 shots.Below are my recordings in hh:mm time unit. Starting from the first 25ml shot being recorded at00:2000:00 (take 25ml at 37.5% ABV)1 st 0:20 Recording 0.009% BAC (have another 25ml at 37.5% ABV)2 nd 0:40 Recording 0.018% BAC (have another 25ml at 46% ABV)3 rd 1:00 Recording 0.032% BAC (have another 37.5% ABV)4 th 1:10 Recording 0.039% BAC (have another 2x 37.5% ABV)5 th 1:30 Recording 0.050% BAC (Stop drinking)I had 6x 25ml shots in 90 minutes and felt pretty jolly and definitely could feel the effects of thealcohol. 20 mins is the required time you should leave without eating, smoking or drinking beforeperforming a Breathalyzer test according to the instruction guide/manual. Which is why I made sureto leave 20 minutes after my last 2 shots.I carried on drinking past the point when I felt tipsy so I could test just how much I could drink beforethe device registered me as being over the drink drive limit in England and Wales. However I hadalmost drank a ¼ bottle of rum straight without drinking any other liquids and it is saying I am goodto drive. I registered 0.050% BAC after 6 shots and the drink drive limit in England and Wales is0.080% BAC so I stopped the test.I am 6ft 2inches 77.3kg at time of testing. I have an estimated 8-12 units per week. Just forreference. The advice on units consumption per week in the UK is to not exceed regularly more than 14 unitsper week. This amount of alcohol in 1 hour is more than enough to put me over the limit in the UK. Let alone a¼ bottle of rum.Thirdly - Build quality and product experience.Personally, I thought for the money the product could have been a bit better quality in terms of feel.It has a cheap feel and look to it and does not scream quality product which in turn undermines yourconfidence in the results. I would have expected a rubber grip, or some sort of grip designed to feelergonomic. It feels like this could easily slip through your fingers. It’s not nice to hold. There are 2holes at the top of the device an inlet that you attach a separate mouth piece and breath into and anoutlet to let excess air through however you can easily jam a mouthpiece into the outlet, it won’t goin very far but is enough to hold the mouth piece firm enough to be pretty solid and attempt a test. The device won’t record if you were to blow in this way, so the user is able to correct their mistake.(It’s pretty obvious by the drawing in the instruction manual and how far the mouthpiece should goin which is which but when you’ve been drinking? Well we’ve all done things that are not exactlylogical.)Using the machine is pretty easy. Put mouthpiece in, hold power on button, watch warm upcountdown timer, blow until it clicks, view results and auto power off.The case that comes with the product is a brilliant addition but there is no way to secure themouthpieces. So when you open it make sure they don’t fall out everywhere. Would be nice to havea zipped pouch to store them in. Case felt like it was designed for a hard drive but at the price pointnothing to really complain about. I’m just saying.Conclusion.If this device were programmed with UK standard unit of measurement (µg/100ml), gave accurateresults and had a link to a website with more information it would be great. However if the resultsare not accurate which they are clearly not, especially when drink drive limits are so low across theworld. I don’t know what the point of buying this device is? Maybe if it were marketed as a way ofcheck your Blood Alcohol Content and record how bad you’re hangover is as a way of finding outhow much you can drink before you feel rough the next morning then ok (good way of controllinghow much you drink). But NEVER EVER EVER use this device for referencing if you are ok to driveafter drinking!!! The breathalysers the police use will be more expensive more accurate and comewith serious consequences if you are over the limit. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this product to anyonewanting to use it for anything other than a gimmick. DO NOT USE FOR A REFERENCING AGAINSTLEGAL LIMITS.

High quality, reliable breathalyser.
I was looking for a dependable breathalyser that I knew would give accurate readings and I'm pleased to say I've found one here. It is definitely possible to buy cheaper models, but I'm always concerned whether corners have been cut. Given the risk to the safety of you and others if you were to drive when intoxicated, not to say the risk to your job/life if prosecuted for it, the extra investment is worth it. I mostly use this for myself (checking I am indeed fine after a drink, or the morning after a few drinks) but have also used it after hosting friends in the evening. Their 'oh but I'm fine and I know the road' excuses don't hold up to a precise reading and whilst some have grumbled at getting a taxi and coming back for their car the next day, they've always been thankful that they didn't make a stupid mistake. On to the actual product: it comes in a beautiful box, it's like opening a new iPhone. I know that's a small thing, but lot's of things about this product show that attention to detail matters and that's what helps to give me confidence that corners weren't cut in making it - which means I can rely on it. The carry case is then durable, whilst comfortably holding both the device and also the charger and spare mouthpieces. It's also got a small carabiner clip on it in case you needed it on a belt or bag, although mine just lives in the glovebox of my car.The device charges quickly via micro-USB (both the included cable and other micro-USB cables I already owned worked) and has a clear red to green LED indicator of when it is charged fully. To operate it you simply turn it on, wait for the 10 second warm-up (clearly shown on the screen) and then blow. The device has clear sounds that indicate when you're done, and you can customise what thresholds there are for the 'warning beeps' that it can do - giving you an auditory answer as well as the numeric value on the screen. The screen is nice and bright so it works well in bright sunlight or darker situations. I've also done a few small tests (repeat blows from people at different states of alcohol consumption) and it seems very consistent.Overall, very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good quality, dependable breathalyser.

BLO PRO Breathalyser
This BLO PRO breathalyser works brilliantly, and straight out of the box. If driving through France by law you have to have one, and i'm sure the same is true for other european countries. But even so, it's a useful thing to have, particularly if you're in that grey area of havng had 2 drinks, not feeling over the limit, but could still get caught out if stopped and tested. It's always better to be safe than sorry.I do really like that you can set the alarm limits yourself - so for England, the limit is 35 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath, which is hard to remember if you've had an enjoyable night. So you can set it so that the device will beep and flash red if you're over the limit, making it very easy to know in an instant. Credit to this device for being very user friendly. With only 10 mouthpieces included, to be honest i'd just assign one per person and reuse them, as replacements aren't that easy or cost effective to get hold of.Of course, the major downside is the price - at nearly £130, it becomes it's own theft target, particularly if left in the glovebox. I can't confidently say it's worth the price, even though it does work flawlessly and is very easy to use.

Easy to use, good battery life and a good display
This meter is supplied in an attractive, hard sided and zipped carry case. It is charged using an included USB-C cable.A full instruction manual is included, which is of good quality and easily readable, as well as a number of spare mouthpieces. The instructions also contain a conversion table between the types of measurement units that the device can measure. The only downside to this product is that it advises at least 20 minutes between eating, drinking or smoking before using it in order to prevent damage to the sensor, but this is common with this type of device, so you are likely to face a similar situation with any other available device.I cannot recommend this product to check that you are safe to drive home from the pub. Yet as a device to check that you are within the legal limit later on/the next morning, I can recommend it for that (with the caution that the only safe reading is 0). I have tested the unit (at home) after consuming various amounts of alcohol and the results that I expected were pretty much those obtained. Additionally, I have used the unit after returning home from the pub to test it with the associated results obtained. The device is easy to use. It is comfortable to hold and all you have to do is place your lips round the mouthpiece and blow. You hear a 'thunk' when done - this is probably a relay or something inside activating. The device then quickly displays your blood/ breath volume of alcohol very shortly afterwards. You can also set alarms to give an audible warning if you are over a limit that you have previously set.I felt that the unit was slightly trickier to set that what it could be and felt it was a pity that you couldn't cycle through a particular measurement to view it in different units. Also, I felt the unit powered off very quickly after a measurement. Conversely, the device is so easy to use and obtain a measurement (with the caveat that you are using the correct measurement units).I must stress that care should be taken so that you are using the correct units of measurement for your location. This is a compact unit that has a long battery life, a bright and easily usable display together with the ability to set warning alarms. Given its ease of use, I can recommend it. However, you should always remember that the device may not be totally accurate, so you shouldn't rely on it until you obtain a 0 reading and I would always recommend repeating the test too.

Easy and simple for personal use and curiosity
The media could not be loaded. I'm currently breastfeeding and have had a half or a pint here and there and wanted to know how much alcohol was actually in my blood. I can't judge whether this is professional-grade breathalyser but for me it is easy to use and interesting to know how many units I've burnt off.Pros:• Simple to use: the instructions are pretty straightforward. Pop a breath tube in the left hole at the top first. You hold the power button to turn it on it counts down from 10, beeps and you blow hard into it whilst covering the other hole with your finger. It then "clicks" and you get your reading• Fancy and portable case: nice textured case you can keep in your car or cupboard at home It is compact and takes up little space• Lots of blow tubes: comes with 10 little one-use mouth pieces• Different modes: you can read the alcohol in various measures. I primarily use the micrograms per 100ml as I can compare the allowed units for driving etc• Rechargeable with provided wireCons:• Stupidly, I didn't realise you had to cover one side of the breathalyser when blowing. I think the instructions presume you'd know to do this!So for the sake of me just being interested in knowing how much alcohol I still have in my system it's really good to have. I've looked up the driving limit in the UK and I'm always well under and I'm so careful to not have much given my baby. However this tool is quite useful to have to make sure I'm not overindulging and it's interesting seeing it go down too over time.I'd recommend it to anybody wanting a breathalyser for personal use that is simple to use and has easy readings, but am unsure if I'd bet my license on it. Obviously, always be sensible and safe.
