i should have trusted the negative reviews
I was looking for pillow covers that wouldn't be noisy when we slept on them. I should have trusted the reviews that claimed the covers were indeed noisy. I hesitate to move at the beginning of the night because I don't want to disturb my husband trying to sleep. A few reviews also claimed that the covers puffed up with air. I wanted to believe these reviewers were wrong or sensitive...they are not. Our pillows are now quite "puffy," even with not zipping the cases all the way to avoid trapping air. There is no solution for this. The covers are quite soft on the outside, and I wanted very much to like them, but there is no way we can use these.

Good deal to make a good dog bed
I bought these cases to stuff with latex foam and make a custom dog bed for my aging pup. Despite being then packed in a heavy-duty canvas case, I did initially have concerns that they might tear, as my two pups like to paw at the bed to get their sleep spot juuuuust right. Well, after a month or two of a nightly tap-dance before bed time (and some wrestle sessions), these hold up to the job. The canvas does a pretty good job of keeping any drool from hitting the cases, so their ability to keep water out has not really been tested. However, they do seem to keep all of the latex foam IN, so they are ticking all the boxes I need right now. Size was accurate online and made for a nice, huge pillow once stuffed. I will say, the outside is not plush, so if you are using these for human use, it may make noise when tossing and turning...luckily that's not a concern for our use.

Really nice and soft, but "pillow balloon" problem
I spent quite a bit of time researching pillow protectors on Amazon and reading the reviews, and after a while, I was convinced that any waterproof pillow protector would likely also trap air inside of it and turn pillows into "balloons." Still, I liked the look of these, and I thought maybe it wouldn't be as bad as some reviews said, so I ordered them to try. They are very soft and feel really nice, they seem high quality and well made, and I liked them a lot, but when I put them on a pillow, they did indeed turn it into a bit of a balloon. When I laid on it, it slowly deflated, and then after I sat up, the pillow was scrunched up (think vacuum packed) and slowly re-inflated (I'm talking a several seconds to deflate and inflate, not minutes or anything). I think it wouldn't have been a HUGE issue for me (it was a fairly mild but definitely present problem), and if anything, it made the pillows seem a bit more firm (and maybe a little more supportive) than they otherwise were. However, I also have to consider others who sleep over at my house, and I think they would have hated them and hated staying with me. My pillows aren't super expensive or high end to NEED 100% waterproof protection from a little drool or sweat occasionally, not expensive enough to put up with the hassle of the "pillow balloon," so I will be looking for something non-waterproof. Based on the reviews, I don't believe there are any waterproof pillow protectors that don't have this same problem to one extent or another, no matter how "breathable" they claim to be. But if you don't mind that, I really liked the softness of these (and although I bought white because they were the ones that shipped soonest, I was going to buy some gray ones, too, if I liked the white enough to keep them, so I also like that there was an option for gray - my whole color scheme is built around dark gray!).

Worth a try :-)
I bought these (2 packs of 2) for my son who is special needs and my daughter who is... a sweaty sleeper. The pillows came neatly packaged inside plastic packaging. They were not damaged in any way. They are quite soft, which I think will work well for my son as he is bedridden and lays on his pillows the majority of the day, the "plastic plastic" ones tear soon after purchase for people who lay on them often. They fit more than easy over a standard and queen size pillow. Your pillow case slides right over with no problem. The product seems quite well made I look for them to last some time. Well worth the price, I would definitely recommend.

Waterproof is also air proof.. it takes 10 seconds to "deflate" to shape with foam filling
I did not consider the ramifications of these covers when used with foam filling. They "Inflate" when not in use and it takes a while to "deflate" until comfortable. You cannot just Floomph on the pillow, ( I believe "Floomph" is the technical term used by pillow scientists throughout the world). I have to unzip a portion for it so that air can more easily escape. However it's then less than waterproof and foam bits can escape. Be careful what you wish for and/or buy. Hope this helps.

Was like sleeping on a loud balloon.
I don’t understand how this product got so many good reviews. The pillow protectors are super synthetic and have a very plastic type feel. They are also very loud/crinkly to sleep on (even with a pillowcase overtop of them). Not only that but I had to have the zipper completely open otherwise no air would escape and it felt like I was sleeping on a balloon. I would not recommend this product to others.

Crinkly vinyl: Would not purchase them again
These cases do not feel exactly like putting your pillow in a plastic bag...but they do have a plastic/vinyl feel to them despite the soft touch. I've had several different brands of waterproof pillow covers and these are by far the worst in terms of both noise and feel. I am pretty confident that they will be waterproof but I would not purchase them again.

Cheap zipper
These covers are over priced in my opinion. The zipper is very tricky, I finally discovered if you CAN open them open them right up, in other words if you stop part way through good luck trying to get it to move either way. I will have to stitch along the zipper as it wasn't sewn very well. They are NOT noisy at all.

Water test!
The media could not be loaded. I’m surprised no one has made a video on this yet.So I did a test just to see how waterproof it really is and to my surprise it is as advertised, waterproof👍I have not used these yet so I can’t confirm how comfy or breathable it is but I will update eventually. To answer some of these questions: no it is not crinkly imo and yes you should 100% wash these before using because why wouldn’t you lol

Quality pillow cover
Just received today and quality looks good, the only problem I see is that there are many loose threads where the zipper was attached to the cover, I just hope the threads don't start to unwind after a while. The sewing is good on the rest of the case.
