Plant Aquarium Glass 17mm Lily Pipe Inflow and Lily Pipe Outflow for 16/22mm Tube

I recently "rebooted" a 10-gallon planted aquarium with a Fluval 106 canister filter. The inlet and outlet tubes that come with the canister are far from attractive, and I thought it time to upgrade to something a bit more aesthetically pleasing. The pipes arrived very well packaged in some laser-cut foam and everything was intact. You get both pipes and 6 (removeable) suction cups in the box, so you have a couple spares if you lose them or they lose their sucky-power. The pipes look great, much nicer than the plastic stuff that you get with your canister. I can imagine these might be a bit of a chore to clean when they inevitably get covered in algae or diatoms, but there's brushes made to deal with that problem. They fit very snugly in the rubber connectors that came with my Fluval filter; just make certain you are ordering the right diameter pipes. Installation into the tank was also pretty easy, but I didn't quite think it through all the way. I didn't have the foresight to attach the canister tubes to the pipes, then mount them on the tank. So, make sure that mounting them is the last step, otherwise you'll risk knocking the glass pipes against your aquarium glass as you push your tubes on. They are definitely more on the expensive side of things, especially when considering the cheap plastic pipes available, but if you value the aesthetics of your setup it's probably worth it to have something pretty and handmade.

Looks amazing! Works great. It comes with 1 extra suction cup a piece. It's Is packaged great for safe shipping. They work great with my Oase Thermo 250 Canister filter. No leaks and no hose clamp needed, I didn't even need to run hot water over the hose for it to fit. Easy to clean with a yeuton pipe snake and hot water. A few small problems though. #1 there is no flow control. And #2 which is the most important, you need at least a foot of space behind your aquarium for maneuvering and cleaning, because these are maid out of real shattering glass. I only have about 2 an half inches of space behind my aquarium, so I've already had to replace 1 intake (buy extra if you can afford it). If you don't have appropriate space, then messing with those suction cups will be a pain in yo you know what. There is a small space solution though. The lily pipe holders (aquarium tank clamps) maid bye the same company work great. I highly recommend them. If you bought the 55 gal starter aquarium bye tetra like I did, the tank clamps work great on it, its a really tight fit though.

I have three sets of these pipes on three aquariums and they certainly elevate the beauty of each one and are of good value for the price. They have held up well over several years of careful cleaning and I have yet to have one break.Ordering these has been hit or miss with about 2/3 orders being chipped or scratched on arrival. Therefore at least one exchange has been needed, in my experience, with every purchase to ensure I receive an item in good condition.

Strong glass pipes. There is no need to worry about breaking these when manipulating or cleaning. With the glass aesthetic expect pesky algae to grow deep in the curve. Because this likely needs to soak in bleach or similar substance a second set is recommended if you can swing it. This shouldn't be too similar with the metal version.I'm pleased with the product and planning on buying the second set soon.Note to invert keepers: I've had several shrimp die from the legs being ripped off on the intake tube. Do not use with cardinia shrimp without sponge filter placed over the intake

Very happy with my decision to add these to my 20g long setup. You can't even see them! The glass is thick, I've taken hoses on/off multiple times and haven't felt like i'm about to shatter the glass or anything. The suction cups are decent, however one of them does get a little loose on occasion and the lily pipe gets a bit offset. Not a big deal and a standard suction cup problem.

So these guys are on the pricier side but totally worth it if aesthetics are important to you. Not only that, but for glass products these are actually pretty sturdy. They work as they are meant to and really just enhance the slick look of the tank.For reference, this is a 22g shallow tank i am setting up for my betta, ember tetras and panda corys. I will say if you have a tank much smaller than this it might not be right for you as they are a rather decent large size.

The shipping box was not damaged but item was cracked. Afraid to order replacement. Not sure how this arrived with crack inside the pipe.

Arrived without delay. I was anxious that the glassware could break on transfer, but all went smooth, thanks to the very nice and secure packaging of the product. I installed already in my fish tank and i am very happy with the result.
