This insert is great for offloading wounds of the feet. If your doctor wants to put you in a cast this is a great alternative.

my husband had a large callus removed from the ball of his foot in December. My husband wears a size 12 1/2 shoe. The doctor gave him a size 12 barco boot-said it was the largest he had. 4 months later the area is still not healed and he developed additional pressure area under his toes. I found this boot and insole on amazon in the size 12.5-14, followed the directions on the package and I think we are already seeing the improvement from the proper fit! (PS-the doctor did check the boot at our next visit and approved my punch out location). My husband also likes the new boot much better.

Bought this to put in a closed toe offloading shoe for my husband. He's diabetic and had a recent ulcer on the bottom of his forefoot. It's improving, but he needs to go back to work & that's why I bought this PEG insert. So far, he's been using this with appropriate pegs removed around the house and it has been doing a great job keeping pressure off of the area.

The picture shows black bottom pegs.the two I got had blue bottom pegs.The size did not fit the darco boot shoe of the same men's size.The packaging and part numbers were the same as before but did not fit!

This insert is great. Clear instructions on how to fit it and even comes with the "lipstick" to mark the area in which to punch out the pegs.

This insole did exactly what I needed it to do. I will be reordering soon.

Great for offloading for DFUs. Relieves pressure on affected area and allows ulcer to heal quicker. Comfortable. I’d like to see something like this for shoe inserts so a post op shoe wouldn’t be needed.
