This handmade journal is covered in a pretty red and blue illustration, and finished with kraft paper, natural thread, and a creamy satin ribbon. Just lovely!The spine of the book has been left exposed to showcase the variation on traditional french-link and long stitches. The intricate hand sewn binding is both useful and beautiful, allowing the notebook to open flat at every page! Completely Handmade Every one of my blank books is crafted completely by hand in my studio. From the first hand-cut page to the last hand-sewn stitch, your book is truly a work of original art. The cover is printed at high-resolution on archival quality paper, and the spine has been left exposed to showcase the traditional long and French link stitches. This traditional binding technique is both beautiful and functional - allowing the book to open completely flat at every page. Acid- & Chlorine- Free Over time, books and other paper goods such as artwork and photographs will discolour and deteriorate when exposed to light, air, & dust. Whenever possible, my blanks books are crafted from archival quality materials to greatly reduce this ageing process. FSC Certified Papers FSC-certified paper is different from recycled paper, as it's typically composed of virgin tree fibres rather than pre- or post-consumer recycled materials (although recycled paper is sometimes also FSC-certified). But when the wood pulp used to make this paper is sourced from a well-managed forest, it can be just as eco-friendly!
